Senso Ji ⛩️

The oldest and most famous temple in Tokyo is the temple of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who embodies the mercy of all Buddhas. The chants of practicing buddhists fills the air, the sounds of coins being tossed in offering and the smells of burning incense made this an immersive experience.
While the spiritual essence of Senso Ji feels very tangible, one step outside and you’re met with hundreds of vendors and thousands of people shopping, eating and taking photos so they can take a little piece of historic Tokyo with them.

Ever wonder what the reality of traveling through ancient Egypt is really like? Beyond the breathtaking mystery of the Valley of the Kings and the awe-inspiring shadow of the Colossi of Memnon, there’s a whole other side to the experience.

This journey takes viewers deep into the heart of Luxor, from staring history in the face with King Tutankhamun to sailing the Nile at sunset. But, true to form, it’s not all majestic ruins and golden history. Sometimes, the real adventure lies in navigating the quirky business models at historic sites—where seeing a statue might just cost an extra tip—and the relentless, often frustrating quest for a public restroom. It turns out that ancient history is majestic, but the logistics of modern travel in Egypt are an entirely different challenge.

Hidden in plain sight at Avebury Henge, these curious concrete pillars might look like simple markers, but they hold the key to uncovering a lost history. As explored with the expertise of Hugh from MegalithomaniaUK, these mini-obelisks were strategically placed to map out exactly where massive stones once stood buried beneath the earth.

It’s a fascinating glimpse into the foresight of early researchers who preserved the layout of this Neolithic wonder, hoping one day the stones might be re-erected to their former glory. While parts of the site have seen reconstruction, the sacred geometry and sheer scale of this ancient circle remain remarkably true to their original form. A reminder that sometimes, the most profound history is waiting just beneath the surface.

Forget everything assumed about ancient stone circles. While Stonehenge often steals the spotlight, a far older and more complex puzzle sits just nearby: Avebury.

Recent insights suggest that this massive Neolithic site, particularly the nearby Silbury Hill, might have been far more than just a place for ritual and celebration. Instead, evidence points toward a grand geodetic center, functioning as the hub for a massive scientific project that stretched across ancient Britain centuries before Stonehenge was even conceived. Could these prehistoric builders have been master surveyors, mapping the landscape with a precision that defies our modern understanding of the Stone Age?

Dive into the geometry and the mysteries surrounding the largest Neolithic stone circle in the world, featuring insights from MegalithomaniaUK.

Imagine holding a piece of history that completely defies explanation. Deep within Prince Sabu's tomb lies the Schist disk—a delicate, 5,000-year-old, wheel-shaped artifact crafted from rare metasiltstone. While traditional narratives often dismiss it as a mere decorative ornament, the craftsmanship and design spark an endless trail of questions that modern history struggles to answer. It is a striking reminder that the further humanity digs into the past, the more mysteries emerge, leaving us with far more unknowns than answers. This is the enigma that continues to challenge everything we think we know about ancient technology.
