10 years 💜

The day before our wedding, my sister asked what I was most looking forward to about getting married. I thought about it for a moment and said, “our adventures together.” 🥹

I assume a spooky witch was listening in who cackled, put a curse on us and said, “I’ll show you adventures” because the last 10 years have been the wildest ride.

We had our traditional corporate 9-5s. We bought a little house in Austin. Dan started Honeymoon Always as a side gig. He lost his job. I lost my job. There was a global pandemic, and a terrible Texas freeze.

In a few short months, we sold our house and most of our stuff, moved to Portugal, started a YouTube channel, and worked to build Honeymoon Always full-time.

Next we decided to document a tour of as many resorts in the Caribbean as possible. Eventually we became world-leading and award-winning experts in Sandals Resorts.

Last year alone, after indoor rain pushed us out of our Lisbon apartment, we lived in Paris and Montreal, and revisited many Caribbean resorts. We’re now on the never-ending apartment hunt. We’ve been essentially living out of suitcases for a full year.

It’s been the best adventure 💜

November mems 🍁

We have been racing all around this month and having the best time.

🏝️ Sandals St Vincent and the Grenadines

💜 Quick pit stop in Miami, FL to visit headquarters

🦞 Made our way to Cannon Beach, OR for a lovely stay at

🌺 We also spent an evening at a LOVELY inn and spa in Newberg, OR which we’d love to go back to!

🍇 Right up the road in Newberg is a great little winery and vineyard

🏆 We were finally reunited with the awards we won for our work with ! It came with swag, so we put the shirts and hats on and did a little photo shoot.

🐈 Made our way to my parents’ house in Camas, WA (they have 2 huge cats, which you know Dan loves)

🎢 Promptly hopped on another airplane to head to Disneyland & Universal with the fam!

❄️ Pit stop in Idaho Falls, ID to meet our new nieces (Dan’s sister had twins 🥹🥹). It was v cold but the babies are adorable

🦮 A very quick stop in Seattle, WA to spend time with our business partners (and because there wasn’t a direct flight from Idaho Falls to Portland - we took the train from Seattle to PDX which we love)

🦃 Celebrated my birthday with this turkey ice cream cake from . It’s as delicious as it is off-putting 😂

🧳 If you’re wondering where full-time travelers get their luggage, the answer is, wherever is cheapest with decent wheels and the right dimensions (in this case, )

🧹 We saw Wicked TWICE (it still won’t be in theaters in Portugal yet by the time we’re there). This bucket is the *smallest* drink size they offered - 32oz (almost 1 liter) 🇺🇸😂

💜 Celebrated Thanksgiving with the fam. We live so far away, I was so happy to soak up as much time as possible.

I can guarantee the next few months will be slower for us. We’ve had the best time but we’re looking forward to the change of pace!

We were finally reunited with the awards we won from our work with Sandals Resorts!

We’ve been traveling full-time and living out of suitcases since the awards ceremony in June, so we did a little photo shoot with them 😂

Stopped by HQ to talk about how things are going, share feedback, learn about some new things coming to the resorts, and say hi to our friends there!

The building is newly renovated (it used to be the HQ for Burger King), and now it looks so similar to the newer Sandals resorts - using the bathrooms felt like we were back in Saint Vincent again 😂

This sign behind us is a vintage ad for Sandals, it’s so fun to see the evolution of their visual marketing over time, especially the stuff I remember from when we were kids.

We’re so thankful for this partnership we have with Sandals, and we love helping people plan their next great vacay! 🏝️

Boston • Salem • Portland

We took a rare exclusively-for-fun trip to Boston to spend time with friends.

In Boston, we did a duck boat tour, explored the Boston Tea Party museum (there are live actors and holograms, 10/10), and caught a Red Sox game at Fenway Park ⚾️

We grabbed rental cars and visited Salem MA (home of the Salem witch trials & filming locations for Hocus Pocus) & Portland ME (home of the iconic Portland Light Head).

We stayed in Kittery ME for convenience, and for lobster. 🦞

It’s been a very lovely east coast time! 🍁

The way we’re obsessed with this resort now

📍Beaches Turks & Caicos

This is a family-friendly (!!) all-inclusive with the absolute most beautiful water.

It was so clear, we could see the fish swimming at our feet, and the snorkeling was incredible! Sting Ray, turtles, and little SHARKS. 🐠🤿

Before we came here, we heard a rumor that this was the best resort in the whole Sandals/Beaches resort brand, and now we can see why!

Some of the newer Sandals resorts are a bit more “luxury”, but the experience here was truly incredible.

Tell me why I was genuinely delighted to meet the on-site Sesame Street characters too 😂

Even if you’re not traveling with kids, we think this would be an incredible vacation!

Canadian summer >>>>

We’re loving Montreal! The weather is amazing, there are tons of cool cultural things going on, public transportation is good, it’s super walkable. The vibes are good!

We’re staying an apartment we love, which is right next to a giant well-stocked grocery store (we miss this living in Europe!) and next to the concert venue where we saw Missy Elliott, so getting home took all of 10 steps.

I just think more people should know how lovely Montreal is. 💕

There’s a restaurant at many Sandals Resorts called Butch’s Steakhouse.

When we go to the resorts, we almost never get reservations at Butch’s. We just don’t care that much for steak. (FELLOW TEXANS PLEASE LOOK AWAY, nothing to see here!!!)

HOWEVER - we have clients that won’t book a resort that *doesn’t* have a Butch’s Steakhouse.

This is why we make sure to understand exactly what you’re looking for to help you pick the right resort.

In many cases, it’s not about “better” or “worse”, it’s about what matters to you.

We share what we like and what we experience, but we know everyone is different and that’s great!

It would take us years to crack the surface of all the amazing food here in Paris. But we’re trying!

Here are some of our favs so far - save this for your next trip to Paris ✨

2• , a classic French bistro. I loved the goat cheese salad here

3• - this sandwich shop slices meat and cheese on the spot. STRONG recommendation for the miam miam sandwich with pastrami, toasted

4• .rosie, a super cute, vibey modern brasserie. The roasted Camembert is *chefs kiss*

5• the cookie croissant at . Worth the hype for me. They are super rich so be prepared!

6• - they make the noodles on site. The fried homemade tagliatelle with beef is excellent 😋

7• Le Mistral (no IG account!) - this classic French bistro not only has great service and food, but the location is amazing. It’s right across from the Conciergerie, and if you’re lucky, you can get a seat near the windows with a view of the river and the Eiffel Tower.

8• East Mamma - great Italian food. Make reservations if you can, show up early because you may need to wait in line outside, and expect some tight quarters 😅

9• .contraste, our favorite Michelin star restaurant in Paris. We go for lunch, I order the vegetarian prix fixe menu and usually end up with the table favorite.

10• :) DELISH. They get busy and don’t take reservations but you can show and and give them your phone number to get a place in line.

Anything we’ve missed? We only have a few more weeks in Paris and we want to eat it all!!
