✨ BIG CHANGE coming to a Tomorrowland classic ✨

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is set to close on July 6th for a major refurbishment—and it sounds like this attraction is heading into a really interesting new chapter.

The New poster below right next to the original ride poster it was inspired by.

If you’ve ever experienced it, you know this ride is pure Disney storytelling magic: a rotating journey through time, showing how everyday family life evolves alongside technology and innovation.

What’s expected to change:
🏠 A brand-new opening scene featuring Walt Disney himself
⏳ Updated family scenes representing new time periods (including the 1960's after visiting the worlds fair then 1985 and 1999)
🚀 A refreshed “future” segment that continues the story forward
🎶 And thankfully, the classic “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” is expected to remain part of the experience

This attraction has always been about progress—not just technology, but life moving forward through generations. So in a lot of ways, this update feels pretty fitting.

Last chance to experience the current version is July 5th, before it closes for refurbishment.

And honestly? If these updates are anything like what’s being reported, this could be one of the most interesting refreshes Tomorrowland has seen in a while.

Sometimes people ask me how this whole “Magical Destinations by Tim” thing started.

Honestly… it started because friends, family, and coworkers would tell me they were heading to Disney and ask, “Hey, you’re the Disney guy… got any tips?”

I’d try to cram every piece of advice I could think of into one conversation and always walk away thinking, “Man, I wish I could have helped them from the beginning.”

That’s really why I do this now.

I love talking Disney, sharing stories, and helping families plan Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and even Royal Caribbean vacations that fit THEM best.
