✍🏾 Dear This Version of Me,
Never stop living!
While walking around I was asked to come sit on the “stoop” and answer a few questions. They were simple , but whenever I’m asked about who/what I wanted to be as a kid, it’s hard to hide the passion behind how I live.
I’ll be the first to admit that I did not grow up in a household that struggled. But living in a city like Baltimore, you can’t go far without facing the unfortunate realities of a lot of its citizens.
Traveling the world makes me appreciate home much more than I would’ve ever imagined. The good and the bad. Events like Artscape are a reminder of what makes the city so special. Traveling often makes me say “if everybody else is doing this, why can’t we?” Opinions are fair. Community is vital to growth.
If we want the world to see Baltimore, we’ve gotta keep putting Baltimore on that next level for the world to see.
