Yesterday’s travels took us to Hubbard Glacier in Disenchantment Bay! We lucked out as the Captain was able to maneuver us closer to the 7 mile wide glacier than they have thus far this season, for some amazing views of the glacier. Naturalist Nat gave a wonderful presentation beforehand which was incredibly informative. Such an amazing experience aboard the Celebrity Summit with Celebrity Cruises! The pictures and videos just don’t do it justice… absolutely breathtaking!

Sleep Tourism?! It might seem silly, but I can think of a few reasons why this might be a top priority on your vacation. Parents of young children? Burnt out professionals? Recovering from illness? Just a plain old sleep lover?!

As someone who tends to fall into the "I'll sleep when I'm dead" mentality when traveling as to make the most of every moment, only to return home needing a vacation from my vacation... I can see the appeal to adding some balance in my own personal travels, at the very least.

Either way, this is a trend that I think has some staying power. What do you think? Would you plan a vacation around sleep? Are you interested in incorporating sleep rituals into your travel itinerary as a priority?

Heads up!

Beginning April 15, Acadia National Park will transition to a fully cashless fee system and mobile payments, credit cards, or debit cards at park sales outlets for entrance fees. Visitors who are only able to pay with cash may purchase a park pass from one of nine local third-party vendors.

Cash sales represent less than 5% of in person sales in the park. During peak season, Acadia’s rangers spend up to eight and a half hours per day documenting, reporting, and transferring cash receipts. Moving to a cashless system will reduce the amount of time park staff spend managing cash and increase their availability to collect fees, increasing the amount of fee revenue available to support critical projects and visitor services.

Did you know that you are now able to renew your US Passport online?!
If you meet all the requirements, this option is amazingly easy. I filed my renewal application on 2/27 and received a shipment confirmation this morning, talk about a quick turnaround! And no, I didn’t expedite it. Kudos to the US Passport processing staff!
