There’s no better way to celebrate than by getting outside and enjoying the incredible public lands we’re lucky to have here in Maine!

From mountain trails and peaceful forests to lakes, beaches, scenic overlooks, and everything in between, Maine’s State Parks offer countless ways to explore the outdoors. 🥾🌿 Best of all, these special places have been protected for all of us to enjoy, appreciate, and care for. 💚

So, consider this your excuse to get outside! Pack a picnic, lace up your hiking boots, grab your camera, and make a day of exploring one of Maine’s State Parks. 🍁

While you’re there, remember to leave it better than you found it so these beautiful places can be enjoyed for generations to come. 🌎✨

🍂 Looking for the perfect way to celebrate fall in the GBR? Head to Hirundo Wildlife Refuge for their 7th Annual Fall Fest! 🎃🌲

On Saturday, October 3, spend the day surrounded by beautiful fall foliage while enjoying plenty of seasonal fun for the whole family.

From the Jack O’ Lantern Trail and autumn games to nature activities, local vendors, paddling, s’mores by the fire, and more, Fall Fest is a great excuse to get outside and enjoy a crisp October day at the refuge. 🍁🛶🔥

🎟️ $15 per car, covering up to 7 people

Parking is limited, so purchasing your ticket in advance is recommended.

Hirundo Wildlife Refuge's 7th annual Fall Fest is coming up in just a few weeks! It's one of our signature events, with fun for nature lovers of all ages - from interactive activities from our educational partners, to games, paddling, craft and artisan vendors and tasty treats from local food trucks. Rumor has it there will be jack o'lanterns, hot c***r and donuts. Does it get more fall than that? 🎃🍁🍎🍩

The leaves are beginning to change across the Greater Bangor Region, slowly trading their summer greens for the brilliant reds, oranges, and golds that make fall in Maine so special. 🍁

Make plans to spend your Saturday at the Eddington Historical Society Fall Bazaar, where you can shop local, enjoy some tasty treats, and support a great community cause.

More than 30 crafters and vendors will be set up with plenty to browse, plus the Eddington Historical Society will have their pies and fudge on hand. (And really…do you need another reason to go after hearing “pie and fudge?” 🥧🍫)

There’s something for the whole family, including children’s games, raffle prizes, concessions with hot dogs, chips and water, and participation from the Eddington Fire Department. 🚒
