Just finished this bathroom at a family’s ski house in Burke, VT—and I’ve got to say, I’m really happy with how it came out.

The floor is a mix of cement and terrazzo tile, which gives it that gritty, no-BS look I love. It’s durable, super low maintenance, and honestly just cool. The matte black fixtures and the warm wood tones balance each other out—kind of industrial, kind of cozy.

This space isn’t huge, but we made every inch count. Clean lines, solid materials, no fluff.

🔨✨ A Historic Upper Valley Home, Reimagined ✨🔨

We’re so excited to share the story of one of our most rewarding renovations in the Upper Valley of VT and NH! This 1817 Federal-style home had so much history and potential, and we loved finding ways to celebrate its charm while making it perfect for modern family living.

🏠 What We Loved About This Project:

The arched pantry doorway that brings elegance and flow to the kitchen.
Panel-ready appliances for a seamless and polished kitchen design.
The mudroom, with custom storage, checkerboard tile, and a utility sink—a must-have for Upper Valley mud season!
Restoring and supporting original beams, now a gorgeous focal point in the kitchen, laundry, and mudroom.
🎉 This project had its challenges—like unlevel floors and outdated systems—but seeing the final result makes it all worth it.

We’ve got some exciting updates to share! 🎉 At Houseal Construction, we’ve recently refreshed our branding to align with the thoughtful, elegant design aesthetic that defines our work. Our new look—featuring dark greens and beiges—replaces the bold red and yellow and better reflects the care and attention we bring to each project.

While we’re still the same team dedicated to bringing your dream spaces to life, we felt it was time to have our branding truly match the vibe of the spaces we create. Every renovation, whether it’s a kitchen, bathroom, or whole home, is approached with intention, and we wanted our visual identity to reflect that.

And since we haven’t officially introduced ourselves yet, we’re Kyle and Meridith! We started Houseal Construction to combine our passion for design and craftsmanship. With Kyle’s background in hands-on building and my love for functional, beautiful spaces, we’ve built this company to help you transform your home into a space that feels just right for you. From design to construction, we guide our clients every step of the way.
