Matagorda Sportfishing Offshore Charters Capt Mark has 27 years experience offshore fishing out of Matagorda,Tx. We fish a 36ft Contender with triple Suzuki 300 outboards.

We are fully licensed with NMFS federal fisheries permits , USCG licensed captain and Texas Guides License.

Joanne is a hell of a cook and I can’t wait to see what she creates with these fish .

This will be a rare opportunity to get on an open boat Amberjack/Red Snapper Charter that’s on a weekend . Due to a cancellation this day is available.

Saturday, September 5th

Leave from Matagorda Harbor, full day charter with fuel/bait/rods and reels and cleaning/bagging of fish .

Must have a minimum of 4 persons on the boat to make the charter a go.

$500 a person

$250 deposit is REQUIRED to hold your spot

These will be meat haul charters with Amberjack , Red Snapper , Vermillion Snapper , Ling and whatever else we can find.

Had a fun trip today with some of my favorite people.

Again, greeted with calm seas . Made our way out to some natural structure to look for some big red snapper . Picked up some very nice sows from 15-18 lbs. after that we made our way to the vermillion snapper hole and found them hungry . Boxed around 20 of them and a bonus Cobia .

I love these days with great folks !

Another day of some flat seas and another great group of people .

Headed out to some natural bottom area to look for some red snapper
Wanted to concentrate on bigger ones today and ended up with some very nice ones .

Decided to head to see if the vermillion snapper were home and ended with a few and a bonus lane snapper . Also the Amberjack are still hungry as well as the damn sharks . Amberjack were released to catch again starting next Tuesday .

Had a great time with this crew today . Also had a dang bird that decided to hang out with us for several miles while it took a nap , guess it was wore out from flying around with nothing to land on out there .

Finally …. Flat seas .

Great day today . The long awaited flat seas have arrived this morning. We had to dodge a few storms early this morning but it felt good to get a little rain on us .

Started off on some natural bottom and began to catch some really nice red snapper . The crew boxed 7 real nice ones and we then headed out in search of 3 more good ones. We found them in quick order and made 3 drops and came up with a couple 17lb and 1-18 lb red snapper to finish off the snapper limit .

Started looking for Cobia and found 3 of them, one which was close
To being legal. Ended up catching that one but it was a tad short so it was released for another day …..

Really enjoyed this crew today . Bunch of down to earth guys who loved fishing . Can’t wait to book them again …….
