𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎: 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐲
𝐀𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥❗️

The day started by driving to the coastal town of Cleggan, about an hour away from where I am staying. We caught the ferry over to 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐧 (island of the white cow), an island that is small, quaint and known for it's musical draw. Musicians come from all over the world to play together here, which is kind of weird because there is not a lot on the island. There are 2-3 hotels or BnBs and one hostel. There was a group of bluegrass players from Virginia that came all this way to play in some local sessions.

The island is lacking some of the fancy things but makes up for it with its beauty! Absolutely stunning!! We walked to the east end, stopped at a cafe that was packed with visitors, then ventured on to the beach.

I just happened to catch a sheep shearer at work!

We made our way home along the coast to Dog Beach. Again, equally gorgeous.

𝘝𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘈 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉. That helps me keep up LOL.
𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘺, 𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘬. 𝘐𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘻𝘪𝘦!! In the aftermath of a rough night, let me give you some beautiful things to look at!

Yesterday, we started out at Connemara Coast Hotel. It is a gorgeous, sprawling hotel just minutes outside of Galway. Sitting right on the coast of Galway Bay, it has so much to offer. Convenient to the city and bus lines, very family friendly and restaurant. Very affordable!!!

We then headed over to Joyce's house. Oh. My. Heavens!! Please watch both videos!!! Joyce is such a down-to-earth, humble person. It was such a joy to meet her!

𝘞𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯...𝘐'𝘮 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘈𝘔𝘌 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳! I swear, I can see Jesus elbowing a disciple, saying "Hey guys! Watch this!" 🤣🫰

Same hotel. Exact same room.

I flew across an ocean, navigated a bus and a train all to deliver bags of cat treats. 🐈😍

Ennis is a beautiful, historic city in the southwest of Ireland. So gorgeous!

𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟏: 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦: 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞🕺🎼
I love music. I can play the piano just a little but that is about it. I took dance for several years as a child and was a Tigerette in high school. That ain't squat to what I experienced last night!

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦 is Ireland's #1 music, song and dance experience. It is in it's 22nd year of performance, led by world renown musicians and dancers.

I'll let the videos speak for themselves. Here are some interesting facts to go along:

🎵 The man playing the uileann pipes is Gerald Fahy, who is a world renown composer. Those pipes were haunting and beautiful all at the same time!
🕺 Several of the dancers are also award winning...and so young. Bet those guys aren't wearing boxers! 🤣😝
🎵 🎵 The choir being led by Michael Londra - He is from Ireland and has a show on PBS and a You Tube channel called Ireland with Michael. The choir is from Iowa and was on a customized tour with him throughout the Irish countryside.
🎵 The last guy is Padrag Rynne playing the concertina. I had to get that one for my nephew, Jamey because he has that instrument.
🎵 Our Bluegrass, stemming from the mountains of North Carolina, originated from Irish immigrants. When the Irish came to America, they brought what was near to their hearts - their music, instruments and storytelling through song. 💚
