Two good eggs — but at different stages of development 🐊🥚

Alligator eggs are marked with a natural band shortly after they’re laid. That band starts out small and grows larger as the embryo develops. The egg on the left is further along — you can tell by the wider, more defined band. The smaller band on the right means it’s a younger egg.

Subtle details like this help farmers track development and handle eggs with care during collection season. Nature always leaves clues if you know where to look.
