My husband and I woke up pretty early and decided to take a walk in downtown Wilmington, NC to visit a TIK TOK famous coffee shop called Hidden Grounds. Upon our walk, we noticed how long the line was. It was out the door and halfway down the street. We’d already walked down and so we decided to stay, and we are so glad that we did! While in line, a local with a bright smile and friendly demeanor joined the group. She and I struck up a convo. She’d lived in Wilmington for 23 years and comes to Hidden Grounds almost daily to enjoy their Dino Campfire latte. She spoke about how their pastries were amazing and gave me suggestions. By the end of the convo, when we finally made it inside of the building, she jumped in to speak with the barista and ordered her usual. She followed us outside where they had this beautiful Dino themed back courtyard with trees and fairy lights. She was a beautiful soul, and I can only think how many tourists’ lives she’s touched over the years and how many coffee orders she’s inspired.

Which ship would you like to try?

With Carnival’s announcement today, there are now five contenders in the megaship category (cruise ships over 200,000 gross tons.)

Royal Caribbean owned this space with its Oasis Class for years, but it is now much more crowded, with Norwegian set to join the mix in 2030.

How has your experience been on megaships? Did you enjoy everything they had to offer, or did they leave you longing for smaller ships?

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, "Why use a travel agent when I can book it myself?"

Today is a perfect example of why.

I spent over two hours on the phone (multiple phone calls) with a cruise line helping one of my clients resolve an issue while she continued enjoying her vacation. She wasn't sitting on hold. She wasn't stressing. She wasn't spending precious vacation time trying to fix it herself. That's my job.

Did the cruise line grant the request? Unfortunately, no. It was simply too late for them to accommodate it today. But I made the call, explored every option available, and I'll be calling back again tomorrow to see if there's anything else that can be done.

Sometimes the answer is still no, but I believe it's worth trying every avenue before giving up.

Booking a trip isn't just about finding a good price. It's about having someone in your corner before, during, and after you travel.

My work doesn't stop once you book. I continue watching for promotions and price drops all the way until final payment is due, looking for opportunities to save you money or add extra value whenever possible.

Whether it's comparing cruise lines, finding the best flights, building a custom European itinerary, planning a family vacation, or stepping in when something unexpected happens, my goal is to make travel easier and less stressful.

I can't promise every request will have the outcome you hope for because some decisions are simply out of my hands. What I can promise is that I'll always advocate for you, explore every option, and keep trying whenever there's even a chance I can help.
