Fruit & Grain Bird Feeders 🐦🌿
Such a fun little outdoor activity that gets kids creating and gives them something to watch after. It’s simple, hands-on, and there’s something really sweet about seeing birds come enjoy something they made.
Ingredients:
Pipe cleaners
Florist’s wire
Grapes
Blueberries
Dried cranberries
Cheerios
O-shaped oat cereal
Raffia, twine, or ribbon
Directions:
Set everything out so it’s easy for kids to grab and start creating.
Let them thread the fruits and cereal onto pipe cleaners or florist’s wire to make their feeders.
Bend or twist the ends to hold everything in place.
Add some twine, raffia, or ribbon to create a hanger.
Hang them outside on a tree or fence and wait for the birds to come visit.
