This is my husband. This meeting is a little different, because today is our 16th wedding anniversary, and I want to give this guy all the recognition he deserves. I truly don’t know where I would be without him, but I also know with 100% certainty that the main reason I am on this travel agent journey is because of him. He is relentlessly supportive, and he is always there to push me and pick up the slack while I am trying new things. He is definitely the best partner for me at any point in my life!

To kick us off, this is my son. He is the one whose heart runs so deep, he is always up for trying anything, especially if it’s food, and he may be getting older, but he still loves to return to childhood whenever we step into Orlando.

Most people will look at this blurry photo and probably not realize how special it is. It might look like a throw-away photo from a trip that might just end up in the delete pile. However, it is one of my most treasured photos from our travels. My husband snapped this quickly right as I saw the castle again for the first time on our second trip to Disney World. The happiness and excitement on my face is evident, and I am glad that he thought of reaching for his camera.

We weren’t planning on going back for our second trip so quickly. When we were on our first trip, we decided it was not going to be our only time after all, and we talked about maybe coming back again in two years. Once home, though, we missed it so much that we put aside our plans and booked to go again one year later. This kicked off a life of increasingly more trips (and increasingly more happiness).

When my husband and I took our family on our first Walt Disney World/Universal trip, we weren’t big travelers. We didn’t even expect to go more than once. That trip changed our lives! We had never experienced so much joy and happiness on a vacation before or missed a place that wasn’t our home so strongly after we left. Now, our life is completely different, and our world revolves around travel. We have been back for so many different trips, from trips with our family of 4 to extended family groups with multiple generations to couples-only trips. We not only try to go to Disney Destinations and Universal as much as we can, but we want to drink in the rest of the world as much as possible. Plus, as my kids get older, there is nothing I love more than this time I get to spend with them, and I will be forever grateful for that first trip we took and the positive impact it has had on our life.
I love the idea that I get to tangibly bring happiness to other people’s lives by helping them plan their “life-changing” trips. Life gets crazy, and there is always another reason to NOT take the trip. But time keeps moving forward for all of us, and these are days we will never get back. You won’t regret the joy, the happiness, and the memories.
