Found a cruise that looks perfect? Before you hit “book,” here are just a few of the things I’m already thinking about…
🚢 Is it the right ship AND sailing for you? Ships can be wildly different, even within the same cruise line. Bigger and newer doesn’t always mean better for your family.
📍 Where is your stateroom? What deck? What’s above and below you? How far are you from the places you’ll use most?
🗺️ What does the itinerary actually look like? Port times, sea days, and how much time you’ll actually have in each destination can completely change the experience.
✈️ How are you getting there? Airports, pre-cruise hotels, transfers, timing. Getting to the ship is part of the planning too!
🍽️ What needs to be reserved and when? Dining, excursions, activities, check-in windows… every cruise line does it differently.
💰 Is it actually the best value? A different sailing, stateroom category, or departure port can sometimes save you a LOT.
🛡️ What about travel protection? You should know your options and what is (and isn’t) covered.
And this is still just a small piece of what I’m considering before I ever recommend a cruise to a client. 😅
