I hadn’t posted anything today, but honestly, I’ve been locked into the NCAA Softball Regionals on ESPN all afternoon. ⚔️🥎

Watching the UCF Knights softball make history with their first ever postseason win over Florida State Seminoles softball to advance to Super Regionals was incredible.

Now I’m fully invested in South Carolina Gamecocks softball vs. UCLA Bruins softball because the thought of Orlando hosting next weekend would be absolutely electric.

Moments like this are why I love sports so much. The atmosphere, the energy, the shared excitement… it’s the same reason I love travel. Experiences and memories always win.

But for today? I’m just enjoying being a proud UCF fan. Charge On! 🖤💛

🌀🚢 “I’d never cruise during hurricane season…”
I hear that one all the time, and honestly, I understand the concern. But having cruised during hurricane season myself, I can tell you the reality is very different from what most people imagine.
I was actually on a Carnival Cruise Line sailing where our ports were shuffled because of a storm system in the Caribbean. The important part? The decision was made BEFORE embarkation day. The cruise line was already monitoring the storm well in advance and adjusted the itinerary to keep us comfortably away from the bad weather.
That’s what many people don’t realize — cruise lines are constantly tracking storms with dedicated operations teams on land whose entire job is passenger safety. Ships don’t just sail toward hurricanes and “hope for the best.” They’ll: ✅ Change ports
✅ Swap itineraries
✅ Reroute entire sailings
✅ Skip ports if necessary
✅ Keep ships far away from dangerous conditions
Honestly, a cruise ship is probably one of the better places to be during hurricane season because they have the ability to move. Resorts and hotels can’t relocate — ships can.
Does cruising during hurricane season require flexibility? Absolutely. You have to understand your itinerary could change. But in my experience, the cruise lines are incredibly proactive, and safety is always the priority.

🌍✈️ Meet Your Travel Advisor ✈️🌍

With so many new followers lately, I figured it was time to properly introduce myself! 👋

I’m Wade, and honestly, becoming a travel advisor happened pretty naturally. I was always the one planning cruises for friends and family — researching ships, comparing itineraries, finding the best experiences, and getting way too excited about all of it. What started as “the friend who plans the trips” eventually turned into a real passion.

Cruising is definitely my specialty. My favorite cruise line is Carnival, and Carnival Magic still holds a special place as my favorite ship I’ve sailed so far. Bimini is one of my favorite ports, but a Mediterranean cruise is absolutely on my bucket list.

Outside of travel? Huge UCF football fan. Cocktail person 100%. My playlists are completely unpredictable — one minute Billy Joel, the next Metallica. And one thing most people don’t know about me: I was actually a Paralympic hopeful swimmer in high school.

When I travel, I’m a mix of adventure and relaxation, but I always try to do something new. I’m definitely an excursion person, and I’ll almost always book a balcony room because there’s just something different about watching the ocean from your own space.

Theme parks are another huge passion of mine. Millennium Force at Cedar Point is my all-time favorite coaster, and some of my favorite experiences anywhere are the animal encounters and up-close tours at SeaWorld.

One thing that really shapes the way I plan vacations is living with two disabilities. I notice little details that many people might overlook, and I think that gives me a different perspective when helping clients choose the right ship, hotel, park, or itinerary for them.

The best part of this job is getting excited WITH people. I have a client sailing next week who’s sending me countdown messages every day, and honestly, I’m just as excited as they are.

If there’s one piece of travel advice I always give, it’s this: step outside your comfort zone a little. Book the different excursion. Try the new restaurant. Sit in the soak zone at the orca show and fully experience it. Those are usually the moments you remember most.
