WHY ALL THIS STUFF MATTERS FOR PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE CLIENTS ⬇️
Everyone loves free stuff, and travel advisors are no exception! 🛳🍫🍬🦁
Trade shows like the one I attended at the Travel Advisor Conference are chock full of vendors trying to catch your attention and tell you why they should be the choice over everyone else.
I had a plan of attack for this tradeshow, and for the most part, I stuck to it!
The plan: focus on vendors and destinations that my river cruise clients would love (which meant focusing mostly on Europe tourism boards), as well as support vendors that are already considered preferred by my host agency.
This brought down my booth visits from about 200 to more like 30... even if I snuck around to grab some fun goodies from the others! By making a plan and focusing on the suppliers that mean the most to me and the future of my business, I was able to avoid at least *some* of the overwhelm and get in some great conversations with my supplier partners.
Most of my loot comes in the form of the most updated brochures for me to have on hand at in-person events (send any interesting vendor opportunities my way!), but how could I say no to candy samples from all over the world?
