Please learn BEFORE you bring home that bunny!

We have had multiple rehoming requests in the last week, even more than usual, and we are always sad that there’s no great answer to give them. We aren’t looking for more rabbits and all the shelters/rescues we know of (which aren’t many) are overwhelmed and underfunded with waitlists.

Bunnies can be AMAZING pets, but you must know what you are getting into. First of all, adopt your bunny from a reputable rescue like our friends at Hoppy Hearts SC so your new friend will be healthy, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and socialized. Rescues also provide you with a wealth of information for a good start. You won’t regret that!

We always tell people we meet at visits, especially children, bunnies are lots of work, are expensive, need room to run (not a small cage) and must be spayed/neutered to be better pets. Bunnies are not “starter” pets and you cannot expect children to be the main ones responsible. Bunnies see exotic vets and also can live for 8-12 years! We have lots of volunteers helping us share the load but in your home, it’s just you and your family. Be prepared and a bunny might just be your best pet ever! ❤️🐰

Hi lovelies! A reminder- not a preach- that ALL personal ID is the sole responsibility of the traveler!! ONLY you will know the status of your passport or drivers license!

In coordination with , will revoke U.S. passports of those who owe significant child support debt. Anyone owing child support debt should arrange payment now with the relevant state child support enforcement agency to prevent passport revocation. If outside the U.S. when their passport is revoked, individuals with significant debt will be eligible ONLY for a limited validity passport for direct return to the United States.
