Then we fill each bar with special herbs, spices or minerals, as well as pure plant essential oils for a real experience in your bath.

I was planning on starting the Beloit Farmers Market in June… however, last month I found out that I’m dealing with a serious health issue. For the time being, it just won’t be practical for me to be at the market. My inventory is currently limited but I will be restocking Bushel & Peck's Local Market soon with what I do have - so at least you can pick up some there when you’re down at the Market.
I do still have my “spot” near the Villager, but it will be filled with other vendors until I’m able to return. I’m not sure when that might be, but I will keep you informed!

If you’ll be looking for more soap tomorrow - I’m sorry that I will NOT be able to make it to the indoor Beloit Farmers Market after all!
All is not lost however, Bushel & Pecks was recently well stocked, as well as Van Laars Farm Market in Rockford. And as always - please message me if you’d like to pick up an order - and I have been known to meet in the Menards parking lot for deliveries. Hope you have a great weekend!

Two more days for us at the Beloit Farmers Market! Tomorrow and in two weeks. Tomorrow I’ll be bringing Lemongrass, the Eucalyptus Salt Spa bar, and some more Groovy Patchouly! Hopefully Coffee & Clove in two weeks.

FAQ Friday! “Are you always here?” The answer is, most of the time. There have been Saturdays that thunderstorms made me pull the covers back up (water and soap aren’t a good combo UNTIL you get them home!) otherwise, there’s the odd Saturday that I might be out-of-town. Like this Saturday - I will NOT be at the Beloit Farmers Market. I WILL be back the following Saturday Oct 5, and then gone again on the 12th, but back again in the 19th. 😵‍💫 So just two more Saturdays!! I’m still thinking about doing an day at the indoor market in November…
Looks like (at least) by the 19th, I’ll have Lemongrass, Groovy Patchouly, Eucalyptus Spa Bar, Coffee and Cloves, hoping for Infinity, besides what we’ve had. 😊

So who’s gone to the indoor Beloit Market (November-April)? I’m considering a day or three Nov/Dec, and possibly once or twice then until the regular Market starts again. But if my customers really don’t go there….

FAQ Friday! “Do you have Sandalwood?” Don’t get me wrong - I LOVE sandalwood! However, a pound of Sandalwood essential oil, at todays prices (bulk essential oil prices do fluctuate for many reasons) goes for OVER $1,000 plus shipping. Doing some quick figuring, this would mean I’d probably need to charge close to $15 per bar (that’s pricing very conservatively). Keep in mind - this is for a wash-off product. Most of it will wind up down the drain. 😢
I haven’t had a failed batch in many many years, but adding close to $500 for an ingredient to my soap batch would make me very nervous. So - if you really want Sandalwood, I’d suggest finding a brave vendor and pay the price, accept a sandalwood fragrance oil (artificial but much cheaper) OR - message me about how you can get your own little bottle of pure, high quality sandalwood oil that you can inhale whenever you please. (Please note that any expensive oil like sandalwood, rose, frankincense etc, is often adulterated to cut costs - know your supplier!)

That said, will I see you at the Beloit Farmers Market tomorrow? It’ll be another gorgeous day! 🤗

FAQ Friday! “What’s in it?” Great question! We make natural vegan soap - meaning we use natural ingredients, and no animal products. We go through a LOT of skin-loving olive oil (more on this at a later date), and fill our bars with clays, herbs, spices, and great-smelling essential oils. Although our bars aren’t as brightly colored as some are, it’s because we don’t use synthetic dyes in our soap. We like natural, and so do our awesome customers! 🥰

I’m often asked “Where’s your shop?” Well, Saturday mornings during the market season, my shop is in the middle of Grand Ave, across from Lucy's #7 Burger Bar, at the Beloit Farmers Market. My workroom is at my home in Beloit - so I’m local. Some have asked this for fear they’d get addicted to my soap and then not be able to get it off season (smart thinking). If this is you, we’ve got you covered! We’re also at Bushel & Peck's Local Market in Beloit, Van Laars Farm Market and Bake Shop in Rockford, and Olde Roots in Sharon. Plus you can always contact us directly, we have been known to meet up with soap orders, and we ship as well.
So please go ahead and get addicted 😂
