Our day begins with a guided tour of East Terrace House Museum, a magnificent 1872 Italianate Villa overlooking the Brazos River. Explore beautiful Victorian furnishings, fascinating personal treasures, and an elegant entertainment wing and ballroom. Discover the many chapters of this remarkable home’s history, including its time as a sanitarium and boarding house.

🍽️ Enjoy a delicious lunch at The Brasserie, located in Waco’s beautifully restored 1928 hotel, with time to take in the charm and character of this historic setting.

🛍️ A Little Afternoon Retail Therapy
Spend some time at Spice Village, home to more than 60 individually owned shops all under one roof. Wander, browse, and discover clothing, jewelry, home décor, gourmet foods, and so much more.

🍰 A Sweet Finale
We’ll end our day with a special dessert and delightful confections to enjoy before heading home.

These are the LAST THREE Thrifty Thursday adventures of the year — and once we wrap up October, Thrifty Thursday is taking a little break during the holiday season .
But don’t worry… we’ll be back in January 2027 with more thrifty adventures!

☕ We’ll kick off the day with a quick caffeine stop where you’ll meet the group.
🚌 Then hop on the bus, grab a snack, sit back, and enjoy the ride as we visit at least FOUR of our favorite thrift shops — including a couple of NEW stops to keep things fresh and exciting!
🍽️ And of course, we’re not just about the shopping! Between stops, we’ll have a fun game, plenty of laughs, and a lunch break to recharge before we hit the thrift stores again.
Because let’s be honest…
We may go looking for bargains, but we always seem to find a good time!
Once these dates are gone, Thrifty Thursday will return in 2027!

🌻 What an AMAZING August of Adventures!
August was packed with fun, friendship, shopping, history, special places, delicious food, and plenty of memories on the road! 🚌
We kicked off the month with our Wimberley Market Days Getaway Tour, exploring 500+ vendors across 20 acres, strolling through its charming Hallmark-like streets, and finishing with a sweet treat. 🛍️

Next came The Raven and The Rose Tour in Waco, where we experienced the incredible Armstrong Browning Library & Museum, admired its stained glass, artwork, and architecture, and discovered the beautiful story and memorabilia of Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. We also explored three fantastic bookstores—including a few hidden-door surprises! 📚🌹

Our Thrifty Thursday Tours took us shopping and exploring in Georgetown, Waco, Lorena, and McGregor. From fabulous thrift shops to great food, games, and good company, Thursdays were definitely a lot of fun! 🛍️

Our Hollywood Movies & Main Street Tour brought us to Smithville, where we toured with a movie insider, visited the museum and an emporium, caught a live movie set in action, and enjoyed shopping along Main Street…including a stop at Consuela’s! 🎬⭐

And we wrapped up the month with our Best Little Field Trip in Texas Tour in Taylor! We enjoyed the traveling Smithsonian exhibit, farmers market, a delicious lunch, the Dan Moody Museum, and the old Taylor High School filled with shopping, fun, and Texas history. 🏛️

Most of all, THANK YOU to every one of our wonderful guests who climbed aboard the bus with us this August! 🚌💛 Your laughter, enthusiasm, and adventurous spirit are what make every tour so special.

🚌❤️ The Best Little Field Trip in Texas! Yesterday, we loaded up the bus and headed to Taylor, Texas, for a day full of nostalgia, laughter, music, good food, shopping, and a little bit of Texas history!
🎶 We kicked things off on the bus with a playlist filled with songs chosen by our guests.
🌽 We went to the Taylor Farmers Market, where our guests enjoyed fresh produce, tasty goodies, and the fun of shopping local.
🏛️ From there, we explored the Smithsonian traveling exhibit, which was such an interesting experience. Taylor made us feel right at home!
🍽️ We worked up an appetite and headed to The Lucky Duck for lunch before continuing our adventure through downtown.
🛍️ Main Street was next, with boutiques and local shops to explore.
🏫 Then came one of the highlights of the day…Old Taylor High, a beautifully renovated historic school filled with shops, restaurants, and unique businesses.
📜 We continued our nostalgic journey at the Dan Moody Museum, learning more about Texas history and the people who helped shape it.
✨ The Best Little Field Trip in Texas was truly a day to remember…a little nostalgia, a little history, a little shopping, a lot of laughter, and plenty of memories made along the way.
And most importantly, THANK YOU to our amazing guests! ❤️ You are what makes every adventure so much fun. We love the laughter, the stories, the friendships, and all the fun you bring to our bus. 🚌

🎒 TWO SPOTS JUST OPENED UP!
We had two cancellations for our Best Little Field Trip in Texas tour for tomorrow August 29, 2026…which means two more people can join the fun!
Remember how exciting field trips were as a kid? A bus ride, exploring somewhere new, good food, a little shopping, and a day full of fun?
Well, we’re bringing that feeling back…just with better snacks and nobody asking, “Are we there yet?”
Tomorrow we’re heading to Taylor, Texas, where we’ll spend the day exploring:
🏛️ A Smithsonian traveling exhibit — because every field trip needs a little culture!
🍽️ A stop for lunch — because learning makes us hungry.
🏫 Old Taylor High School — now transformed into boutiques, restaurants and shops. Talk about giving the old school a whole new life!
🛍️ Historic Downtown Taylor — where we’ll browse the boutiques, explore the historic streets and see what treasures we can find.
📚 The Dan Moody Museum — for a little Texas history to round out our adventure.
It’s nostalgic. It’s fun. It’s a little bit educational. And there will definitely be food and shopping involved.

🛍️THRIFTY THURSDAY WAS SO MUCH FUN!
Four thrift shops, three towns, a stop at Panera Bread, and a bus full of wonderful people! What a great day!
Yesterday, we made our way through Lorena, Waco, and McGregor, searching for those special treasures and great thrift-store finds.
We enjoyed a fun game on the bus with LOTS of laughs along the way! It’s always the people who make these trips so special, and this group sure made the day a memorable one!
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who joined us! We truly appreciate you choosing to spend your Thursday with us. We loved having you on the bus and sharing such a fun day together!
We can’t wait to see you all again on our next adventure together!🩷

We’re heading to Lorena, Waco & McGregor, hitting at least 4 favorite thrift stores, playing our Thrifty Scavenger Hunt, and stopping for lunch at Panera Bread!
Plenty of restroom stops, plenty of laughs, and NO driving, NO parking headaches, and NO arguing with your GPS! Just hop on the bus and let us do the driving!
