Follow the money. Why is a company from Florida and other parts of the US leading Timber designation and logistics in OUR state? Money grabbing corporations at it again!

As a side note, I just drove this area and the ‘hazard’ trees marked are ridiculous, a greenhorn Arborist could tell you many of the roadside trees pose no threat. Poor federal oversight, lack of management and poor ethics.

At a hearing Wednesday, Oregon lawmakers heard numerous allegations of mismanagement in the state's efforts to remove hazardous trees along roads and properties that burned in last year's wildfires. They also heard pleas from concerned residents to stop the excessive tree-cutting.

Arborist/Climber:
ISA Certified Arborist preferred. Must have own gear and be self sufficient in the field. Job duties will include advanced rigging, large/hazard removal, tight quarters felling, pruning to industry standard, tree planting and managing jobsite tasks, crew members and efficiency.
$20-35, health insurance available after 60 days.

Groundsperson:
Looking for a Full-time employee who MUST HAVE experience running and servicing/maintaining chainsaws. We want an employee who: SHOWS UP DAILY ready to work, follows instructions and ALL SAFETY measures. This employee will provide support to the climber, in addition to; using a wood chipper, stump grinder, running chainsaws, brush cutters, rigging, rope work, raking, digging, lifting, vehicle and machinery maintenance. We are a small, tight knit crew, looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our team. We are happy to train you on all necessary skills and equipment, but REQUIRE the following: the above mentioned chainsaw experience, have a valid Driver's License, can drive a Manual Transmission, are a NON-smoker, and able to commit to this team.
Compensation is $17-22 depending on experience. Health insurance available after 60 days.

Job Duties: Assist in daily tree care operations. This position will require the use of chippers, chainsaws, stump grinder and various heavy equipment related to tree pruning and removal. Must be able to lift 50-100lbs. Ability to handle strenuous activity daily. We are looking for someone who is responsible, interested in trees/arboriculture, can take direction, follow tasks and handle variable working environments. Current position will be 24-32 hours per week, likely to turn into full time. Both males and females are encouraged to apply.
