✨ Why We’ll Always Book a Universal Deluxe Resort — And Why You Should Too

Let me break down why staying at a Universal Deluxe Resort like Portofino Bay isn’t a splurge — it’s actually the smart move.

First: Express Unlimited passes are included for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Do you know what those cost per person per day? Once you do the math, your hotel room has practically paid for itself. Skip the lines, ride everything twice, and keep moving. It’s a whole different experience.

Second: Early Park Admission to ALL the parks — including Epic Universe. You’re walking into the magic before the crowds even show up. We were able to ride 5 rides, all walk on, during that hour!

Third, and this one is huge for Epic Universe: resort transportation drops you right at the gates. No hunting for your car in a massive parking lot, no long trek in the Florida heat just to get to the entrance. You step off the boat or bus and you’re there. That alone is worth it.

And speaking of Florida heat — the ability to slip back to the resort midday for a nap or a few hours by the pool was an absolute game changer for us. ☀️ We’d recharge, cool off, and head back in the evening when it was comfortable and the lighting was gorgeous.

When you add it all up — the express passes, the early entry, the transportation, the midday escape — a Deluxe Resort isn’t just a hotel. It’s your strategy for the best possible Universal trip.

Shoutout to Disney’s Memory Maker for giving us photos we’ll treasure forever 📸💛 — from character shots to those surprise Magic Shots we didn’t even know were happening until we saw them. X-wings overhead. Glowing holograms. Rolling droids. You simply can’t recreate these on your own!
