📗 Lonely Planet Dream Trips of the World: 100 Destinations and Itineraries to Make Your Bucket List a Reality
This is one of the most beautiful and expertly curated travel books I’ve seen in a long time. Featuring one hundred destinations around the world the highlights showcased only scratch the surface.

📘 Here Not There: 100 Unexpected Travel Destinations by Andrew Nelson
The premise: suggesting alternative destinations to highly popular ones. Some locations I was surprised the author would recommend over another, but travel is unique to everyone and doesn’t need to break your budget either!

📙 National Geographic Bucket List Family Travel: Share the World With Your Kids on 50 Adventures of a Lifetime by Jessica Gee
I liked many aspects the author included in Bucket List Family Travel. As a parent when you read this, it is not “bible” and stays at the Ritz does not work for everyone. From this book, take away that traveling is possible at any age. If you have the dream trip in mind, take it. Don’t wait for them to grow-up.

You’re probably tapped out when it comes to planning the cruise part of your trip, you forgot about the town you’re sailing out from! 🏙️

Three cities can serve as your gateway port for your Alaskan cruise ⚓, however where you sail from depends on your itinerary (remember one-way versus round-trip?)

Follow ▶️  for more Alaskan Cruise tips and save this post for later!

I am completely biased about Vancouver 🍁🇨🇦 I honeymooned here, it was part of a birthday trip, and I prefer to sail to Alaska from here.

I’ve been to Seattle for a work trip in February and managed to do everything I wanted in one day!

Seward is a great place to start or end for your Alaska cruise because it opens the opportunity to visit Denali National Park, Anchorage, Kenai Fjords, Fairbanks, and other land tour options.

Here are the logistical questions you need to consider:
1️⃣ If you plan to fly in the same day as embarkation: If your flight gets delayed by a few hours, will you board your ship or chase it to the next port?
↪️ Don’t do this; Florida, Alaska, Singapore—it doesn’t matter where.
2️⃣ Are you factoring in ‘Day 1 Fatigue,’ or do you want to actually remember your first night on the ship?
↪️ Trust me, you’re going to want to stay up and sit by the window for the views!
3️⃣ If you start your cruise in Alaska: Are you accounting for the 125-mile transit between the airport and the ship, or are you assuming they are in the same city?
↪️ Seward & Anchorage are about 3 hours apart.

Do you have a question about any Alaska gateway ports? 🚢 Drop them in the comments below to help others as well!

Did you know that there are many decisions to make when planning an Alaskan cruise?

First, you have to choose what you want to see...
Second, you have to see which ports offer those things...
Third, you have to figure out which cruise line visits that ports...
Fourth, you must decide if you’re comfortable with a one-way or roundtrip itinerary...

Planning an Alaskan cruise can be overwhelming 😥 whether you’re a seasoned cruiser or this is your first cruise ⚓

Let’s take a breather together and talk about this more! 😮‍💨😌

Follow ▶️ for more Alaskan Cruise tips and save this post for later!

Here’s Two Questions ✌️ to Ask Yourself When Choosing an Alaskan Cruise:
1️⃣ How much time can you spend in Alaska?
↪️ This can help determine if you want a combination of land and sea tours, and the itinerary’s length.
2️⃣ What makes you excited to see Alaska?
↪️ Whale watching? Let’s find an itinerary in Juneau. Glacier hikes? Let’s get you to Seward.

Do you have a question about any Alaska ports of call? 🚢 Drop them in the comments below to help others as well!

Iykyk 👐 Jersey people talk a lot with their hands!

My clients went on their honeymoon to Italy 🇮🇹 last month! They took a mini-moon after their wedding in February and had about an eight week gap between trips.

The Itinerary Included:
✅ The Vatican, Catacombs, & Colosseum Tours
✅ Train & Private Transportation Between Rome, Naples, & Sorrento
✅ Cooking Class Experience
✅ Waterfront Dining in Naples & Sorrento
✅ A Visit to Pompeii, Capri, & the Amalfi Coast
✅ A Day Dedicated to Wellness with Private Couple’s Massage in Their Suite
✅ Hair + Make-up Services for Their Private Photoshoot in Sorrento
✅ and so much more!

Here’s How We Intentionally Planned:
📌 We reviewed dates around holidays and special family gatherings to avoid conflicts. We even extended the trip by two days!

📌 We talked at length about what was most important to them during the trip.
Rome was designed for both of them, Naples was for him, and Sorrento was for her.

📌 We communicated a lot! If either of us had questions, new ideas, or wanted to make changes, we talked them out. We chatted almost every day while they were in destination too!

📌 I spoke with every accommodation and tour operator weeks in advance to help make their trip special and to achieve everything they wanted to experience.

This year, I’ve made it a goal of mine to start working on my Italy Travel Specialist Certification to be better my skillset not only for myself, but to all the families I work with.
