You don’t need a big reason to plan a fall weekend away. 🍂

Sometimes the reason is simply…

“We haven’t gotten away in a while.”

A couple of slow mornings. A hike with crisp fall air. Dinner in Bethel. A long soak in the hot tub. A fire under the stars with nowhere you need to be tomorrow.

August filled up quickly, and now we’re looking ahead to September + October.

If you’ve been saying “we should get away this fall…” maybe this is your sign. 🌲

POV: Your anniversary weekend has no schedule. 🤍🍂

Coffee when you wake up.

A scenic drive just because the leaves look incredible.

Maybe a hike. Maybe you stay in.

Dinner for two in Bethel.

Then back to the cabin for a private hot tub, a cozy fire, and absolutely nowhere else you need to be.

We’ve welcomed so many couples celebrating anniversaries lately, and there’s something about fall in Western Maine that feels made for celebrating another year together.

We’ve noticed something lately—so many of our guests are coming to Hide & Seek to celebrate.

Birthdays. Anniversaries. Mini-moons. Or simply another year together.

And we kind of love that.

Because celebrating here can look like a morning hike, wandering around Bethel, coming home to your own private hot tub, opening a bottle of something you love, and ending the night around the fire.

Because the best getaways are the ones where your favorite adventure buddy gets to come too.

A fall escape at Hide & Seek Cabins means crisp morning walks, trails to explore, naps after a day outside, and evenings by the fire—with your pup right there beside you.

One of my favorite parts of hosting has nothing to do with the cabin. 🤎

It's hearing why someone is coming.

A couple who just needs a weekend together.

Newlyweds turning their wedding weekend into a cozy Maine mini-moon. 💍🍂

Someone traveling solo who wants a few days to reset.

A guest bringing their dog because, of course, the dog is part of the vacation too. 🐾

Or the people who arrive with a full list of hikes and adventures and come back completely exhausted—in the best possible way.

That's what I think about when we're adding the little touches, sharing our favorite places around Bethel, or helping someone plan their stay.

We don't just want you to have a beautiful cabin.

We want you to leave saying, “We really needed that.”

Whether it's your mini-moon, your fall adventure, or simply an excuse to get away together, fall in Western Maine is a pretty incredible time to do it. 🍂🌲

You don't have to plan every minute. But if you're coming to Western Maine this fall, here's our kind of weekend:

🥾 Pick a trail and see the foliage from above.

🍂 Take the long way back and make the drive part of the adventure.

☕ Spend some time wandering Bethel Village.

🌲 Leave room in the afternoon for absolutely nothing.

♨️ Head back to the cabin, pour a drink, and get in the hot tub.

🔥 Finish the night around the fire.

Adventure by day. Cozy by night.
