ANSWER! So where in the world are these beautiful beaches? They are in.....northern Michigan on Torch Lake which is called "the Caribbean of the North." It's a 19 mile long lake with depths up to 310 ft., perfect for snorkeling and even scuba diving. The lake was formed by glaciers more than 10,000 years ago. Its beautiful, clear, blue-green water is due to minimal organic runoff and calcium-rich marl sediment from its glacial origins. Mid-summer is the perfect time to enjoy the lake as the water temperature is around 70 degrees.
