Tsunami warning for Hawai‘i downgraded to an advisory
The tsunami warning for Hawai‘i has been downgraded to a tsunami advisory. This means dangerous tsunami waves are no longer expected to impact the state, but hazardous conditions may persist—including strong currents and localized coastal flooding.

Key Updates:

Residents and visitors who evacuated may return home at this time. Please use caution and patience, as traffic may remain heavy in some areas.
Use extreme caution in or near the ocean, as dangerous conditions may continue in near-shore waters throughout the Hawaiian Islands.
The “all clear” has not yet been issued statewide. Counties are now conducting local assessments and may issue area-specific all-clears as appropriate.
Travelers to, from, or within Hawai‘i should continue to check with their airlines for the latest flight status and any service impacts.
