NejauÅ”i nonÄcÄm Kingman pilsÄtiÅÄ. LikÄs, ka diezvai tajÄ ir kas Ä«paÅ”s, taÄu mums patÄ«k apskatÄ«t mazpilsÄtas un braukt pa mazÄkiem ceļiem.
Un tieÅ”i Å”eit mÄs sapratÄm, ka esmu pie viena posma no slavenÄ Route 66.
SÄkotnÄji tas bija teju 4000 km garÅ” ceļŔ no ÄikÄgas lÄ«dz LA.
NejauÅ”i nobraukt Å”o posmu bija kÄ Ä·irsÄ«tis uz kÅ«ciÅas, tÄs dienas garajam pÄrbraucienam. š¤©

We ended up in the Kingman town by accident. We didnāt know if there was anything special about it, but we like to see small towns and drive on smaller roads.
There we realized we are at one section of the famous . š¤©
It was originally a nearly 4,000 km long road from Chicago to LA. It was advertised as the shortest, best and most beautiful route that connected these two sides of the country. It was mentioned in books, songs and movies. It became a real symbol of the American road trip, and the most famous road in the USA. šŗšø Today, it in many parts it has been replaced by modern highways, and only a few sections remain with abandoned gas stations, shops and sparsely populated villages. Driving this section was the icing on the cake for the dayās long journey. š¤©
