ripples.
when you create a difference in someone’s life, you not only impact their life, you impact everyone influenced by them throughout their entire lifetime.
no act is ever too small.

With compassion + empathy—
I’m truly sorry to every couple having to make the choice to postpone your upcoming wedding. I know you’ve been planning for so long, have spent so much money and were looking forward to having this incredible day with all of your friends and family. You’ve booked honeymoons, have thousands upon thousands of nonrefundable sums paid out to vendors and a venue that is booked out until 2022. I know you are heartbroken and torn up about what to do, but I sincerely believe that you will find your family, friends, and vendors more than willing to help you in whatever choice you make.
—
And DON’T FORGET—elopements only take two and you can still give yourselves the gift of each other, even if it’s not what you initially wanted. I’m more than happy to work with you to figure out what that might look like.
—
Maybe the silver lining is that you’d rather spend the day exploring nature and focusing on your love together as a strong, resilient union. I hope you find in the end that everything worked out as it was supposed to.

social distancing collection available for photography + video

I’m very optimistic that as we work together as a community things will get better. But in the event it takes a little longer than we planned I’ve been thinking a lot about my brides, clients, vendors, and weddings for this year and I want to do everything in my power to help you all so I created a Social Distancing Collection!
—
Throwing a huge party with everyone you know and love might not be realistic nor safe in the coming weeks—we just have to play it day by day and rely on advisement from healthcare professionals. But I don’t think it’s too crazy of an idea....to elope!
—
What’s happening right now is difficult for everyone. I’m extremely empathetic and can’t help, but continue to put myself in the shoes of my soon to be brides. I thought...what would I do?
—
Personally, I can’t help but think of how sad I would be to keep putting off marrying the love of my life because of circumstances I couldn’t control.
—
So, food for thought. It’s not a bad idea to postpone the ‘party,’ but that doesn’t mean you have to postpone making vows and committing yourself to the love of your life!

this is what it’s all about—finding your person, driving them crazy, loving them hard, being their support and best friend; laughing with them and crying with them. going through the ups + downs—embracing the rollercoaster ride—and being their rock through it all.

it’s a gift to know that despite all that is crazy outside your home, you’ll always have your partner to run to + have time stand still—or do Insanity™ workouts with during quarantine.

if it doesn’t nourish your soul or your hair let it go

I struggle to take care of my hair especially while traveling--hotel soaps, no conditioner, dry weather, knotted nests behind my neck, and Austen accidentally leaning on it.
However, I do have a few tricks up my sleeve to ALWAYS have PHOTOGENIC HAIR:
1. Plan ahead. Not gunna lie I do roll out of bed daily with my hair like this, but it doesn’t mean I don’t work hard for it. NEVER plan to wash your full head on weekends (bc that’s when you usually want it to look best). Wednesday’s or Thursday’s are full hair washing days—also plan your best sweat session those days to fully enjoy your rewarding shower.
2. Only wash your hair a couple times a week. When you go longer w/o washing your hair is less greasy. Use dry shampoo in between washes. PRO TIP: Some days (when you get super sweaty at the gym) lightly shampoo ONLY your roots—this way you get bounce back to your roots w/o heavyness of a clean wash on your ends. The less you wash your ends the better it will hold a curl.
3. Brush your hair before you wash it at night and let it air/pillow dry. This will give you natural wave and bounce.
4. Use a wand technique to loosely curl your hair when it is totally dry. Between days you do not wash brush out all your hair before bed.
5. Days you know you will be on camera make sure not to touch your hair or flip your part too much (extra greasy from your hands). So my SECRET TIP: grab a chompy clip (does anyone else call them that?) and grab your hair (even if it’s curled) and twist it into a top knot. Make sure it is loosely twisted and clipped on the backside (so you don’t get a crimp from the clip). Make sure the front is not too tight because it can crimp near your bangs. THEN when you’re ready take a photo unclip your top knot and let your curls flow down effortlessly. I assume all boys have stopped reading by now so: you know that feeling when you get home from a long day and take your bra off? It’s that x10 because you feel like a sexy librarian off duty.
Comment a 💁🏼‍♀️ below if you’d like to see how I curl my hair. What’s your favorite hair care tip?

let go of who you think you need to be and just be who you actually are

I struggled for so long deciding who I wanted to be. I wanted to fit into a perfect box that gave me a title describing what I do...but no matter how much I forced this it never worked. Today I unapologetically embrace me—if I want to get nerdy and talk about nutrition and wellness I do, if I want to go take beautiful photos at the beach I go do that too, and if I want to try new things totally outside my comfort zone I go for it. I spend every day doing what makes me happy—that’s been one of the most difficult things to embrace, so that’s how I define success and damn it feels good to just be me.

Where’s the excitement of life without the contrast of risk, fear, hurt, or dissatisfaction? You have to experience the lows to feel the true energy and vibes of the highs. I welcome defeat, challenges, and risk because I know right around the corner happiness, adventure, excitement, and abundance patiently await me.

𖤥 the most northern point in Ireland

I always laugh when people ask me where in Ireland I’ve been. Well I spent about 2 months there this past summer and I still can’t easily answer that question.
—
Driving from north to south and then east to west we covered a ton of ground, yet there’s still so much more there I want to explore.

documenting your experiences, so you never forget ‘that feeling’

Hi, I’m Kendall

I’m here to boost your confidence and enhance your natural glow.

I’m an intimate wedding, elopement, and portrait photographer based out of Northern California. I welcome all travel near or far. My work and life partner, Austen, is an international videographer and brilliantly films your special day. Our work is grounded in the belief that photographs + videos are about remembering moments + experiences and we make it our goal to capture how it 'felt' so those memories can stay fresh for years to come.

I am so happy you’re here and I would be honored to hear your story.
