At Travel One, we believe in the power of small acts to make a big difference. Recently, our Leadership Team and Account Managers volunteered with the Pinky Swear Foundation in Edina, MN – an organization dedicated to supporting kids with cancer and their families.

Together, we donated 145 pounds of food to help stock family pantries at Minnesota Children’s Hospital and M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital, ensuring parents can focus on their child’s care without worrying about their next meal. We also wrote 75 handwritten letters and postcards of encouragement, hoping our words would bring a moment of comfort, strength, or even a smile to families facing incredibly difficult days.

For us, this experience was a reminder that community isn’t just about where we live and work – it’s about standing alongside others when they need it most.

Air Canada announced it will begin a gradual suspension of flights as it faces a potential work stoppage by its flight attendants this coming Saturday, August 16, 2025. Air Canada will notify travelers whose flights are cancelled and they will be eligible for a full refund.

Travel One recommends passengers traveling on Air Canada check their flight status prior to leaving for the airport. Travel One will continue to monitor this situation, and will contact affected travelers to discuss alternative flight options.

In 2022, our group travel experts coordinated one such trip to Peru, creating an itinerary that balanced iconic landmarks with authentic local experiences.

The journey included visits to Machu Picchu, the ruins of Pisac, and the Maras Salt Mines, time in the Amazon Rainforest, and opportunities to connect with Peru’s rich cultural traditions. In fact, the photos in this post were taken by our travelers!

Travel One's role was to handle the logistics so the group could focus on the experience – exploring, learning, and enjoying time together in some of the world’s most remarkable destinations.

A “total systems outage” has halted all air traffic in and out of London, according to Eurocontrol the EU-wide air traffic control agency. Travel One expects major disruptions as airlines have begun rerouting inbound flights to other regional airports, and are holding flights on the ground or at their origin location. At this time there is no timeline for restoration of air service.

Travel One is in the process of contacting all affected travelers, and will continue to monitor this situation.
