TOMORROW! Thursday, April 30, 2020 from 9AM-11AM
The Cities of Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park, and Wilton Manors have come together in partnership with
Feeding South Florida to host a COVID-19 food distribution event at Mills Pond Park 2201 NW 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311.

This free event is for those who are most in need due to job loss, income loss, or the inability to cover their monthly expenses. Based on the available supply of food, only the first 1,000 cars will be allowed entry and there will be a limit of one food container per vehicle. Recipients must remain in their vehicles and will be instructed to open their trunk when volunteers are ready to load it.

To access the event, enter Mills Pond Park from southbound Powerline Road (NW 9th Avenue). For additional information about this event, please call (954) 630-4335

National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation has created the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund to help restaurant industry employees experiencing hardship in the wake of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak. Through this Fund, grants will be made to restaurant industry employees who have demonstrated being financially impacted by COVID-19, whether through a decrease in wages or loss of employment. Bars and nightclubs ordered to close for 30 days in Florida. Gov. Ron DeSantis will sign an executive order to close all bars and nightclubs in Florida for the next 30 days. The closure begins Tuesday at 5 p.m.

DeSantis said restaurants can remain open, but can only have 50 percent capacity so patrons can maintain social distancing. The tables must be six feet apart. via WPTV
