Traveling with kids can feel overwhelming… but a few small things can make travel days SO much smoother ✈️🤍
These are some of our favorite travel hacks after flying with 3 boys:
Hack 1: Bring multiple forms of entertainment 🎨Don’t rely on just one thing! Tablets are great, but having books, coloring supplies, sticker books, card games, or headphones helps when attention spans start fading.
Hack 2: Let them burn energy before boarding 🏃If we have extra airport time, we walk the terminal, find open spaces, and let the kids move as much as possible before sitting on a plane.
Hack 3: Pack a few “new” toys just for the plane 🎁Small dollar-store toys, stickers, mini cars, or activity books can feel SO exciting when they’ve never seen them before.
Hack 4: Don’t skip comfort items 🧸A favorite blanket, stuffed animal, or pillow can make a huge difference when kids are tired, overwhelmed, or trying to sleep somewhere unfamiliar.
Hack 5: Let them move around ✈️Even a quick walk up and down the aisle can help kids reset before sitting still again.
Hack 6: Remember the journey counts too ❤️Not every travel day will go perfectly — and that’s okay. Sometimes the messy, chaotic moments become the memories you laugh about later.
