A client asked: Do we need a regular Magic Kingdom ticket AND a ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?

The answer is no. This is one of the first things I explain when planning a Disney Christmas trip.

Your party ticket allows you to enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4:00 p.m., even though the party officially runs from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. You only need regular park admission if you want to enter before 4:00.

For many families, I recommend making party day a slower day:

Sleep in. Enjoy the resort. Have a late breakfast or an early dinner. Then arrive at Magic Kingdom rested and ready to stay late.

I also try not to schedule a table-service meal during the actual party. You are buying a limited number of party hours, and spending one of them sitting in a restaurant is rarely the best use of that ticket. If we need a meal inside Magic Kingdom, I would rather plan it between 4:00 and 7:00, before the exclusive entertainment begins.

The ticket is only one part of planning the party well. The arrival time, meal timing and rest of the day can determine whether your family enjoys the entire night or runs out of energy before the fireworks.

That is the difference between simply adding party tickets and planning the party as part of the whole vacation.

Save this if a Disney Christmas trip is on your maybe list, this year or next.

As of this morning, you can actually book the Disney Wish out of New York.

The response has been immediate. These seven sailings are clearly popular, especially the round-trip departures.

Here is the honest reality: Pearl, Platinum, Gold and Silver Castaway Club members received early access, along with eligible Disney Vacation Club members and Adventures by Disney Adventure Insiders. By the time public booking opened, returning Disney guests had already secured many of the most desirable rooms.

This is a moment when cruise-line loyalty status provided a very real benefit.

Can you still experience the Disney Wish from New York? Absolutely. But flexibility matters.

A sample search for four guests this morning showed:

• September 29, 4-night Bermuda: Concierge only, starting at $10,933

• October 3, 5-night Canada and New England: Concierge only, starting at $12,613

• October 8, 6-night Bermuda and Canada: Oceanview, verandah and concierge remain, starting at $8,221

• October 14, 5-night Bermuda: Concierge only, starting at $13,353

• October 19, 5-night Bermuda: Verandah and concierge remain, starting at $8,190

• October 24, 7-night Canada: Inside only, starting at $8,348

• October 31, 5-night Bermuda ending in San Juan: All four major categories remain, starting at $4,875 for an inside room

The October 31 sailing currently has the best selection and lowest starting price, but it ends in San Juan, so you will need to fly home.

Availability can vary by party size, and rooms may return when temporary holds expire. I can keep checking, but I would not plan around that happening.

Tell me your party size, the children’s ages, your preferred room type and whether you are open to flying home from San Juan. I’ll check the live inventory and price your best realistic option today.

Prices shown are sample totals for four guests and include taxes, fees and port expenses. Availability and pricing can change.

Bermuda season from Boston isn't over. Three 7-night round-trips remain in 2026: October 18, October 25, and November 1, sailing straight from Flynn Cruiseport. No flights, no airport, just park and board.

The itinerary is a good one: a day in Halifax on the way down, then an overnight in Bermuda, so you get an evening on the island instead of racing back to the ship at dinnertime.

Fares currently start at $579 per person, based on availability and subject to change. Booking through me costs nothing extra, and I'll steer you to the right cabin and send you my Boston port playbook: parking, hotels, timing.

Tell me your week and who's traveling. Save this for the friend who keeps saying they want one more warm trip this year.

I have a Christmas gift idea that doesn’t need batteries, a size exchange or more room in your house.

It does need five days on your family’s calendar.

The Disney Fantasy is sailing December 18–23, which means your family can spend the week before Christmas at sea with Disney, visit Castaway Cay and Cozumel, and still keep Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for your traditions at home.

A verandah stateroom for two adults and two children was $7,828.52 when I checked.

If you have been thinking about giving your kids one big experience instead of another round of things, this is a pretty incredible way to do it.

Your children won’t unwrap this trip on Christmas morning. They’ll already have lived it.

Message me the word CHRISTMAS, and I’ll check the current price for your family, help you choose the right stateroom and handle the cruise-planning details. 🎄🚢

Pricing and availability can change until booked.

The D family is joining the group trip! 🎉

This Utopia of the Seas trip is now three families and six staterooms, all close together on Deck 14.

Without a travel advisor, group trips often comes with an unpaid job to somebody taking the lead: keeping track of everyone’s deadlines, answering questions, coordinating plans and making sure nobody misses something important.

Not this one.

Each family has its own booking, but I’m the person keeping the entire group organized. I manage the individual reservations, help coordinate the things they want to do together and make sure everyone knows what they need to do and when.

That means the person who brought everyone together doesn’t have to spend the next year and a half managing everyone else’s vacation. She gets to enjoy the trip, too.

Planning a cruise with friends or extended family? Message me before everyone starts booking rooms separately. The earlier I’m involved, the more I can usually do to keep the group together.

The transfer is nowhere in sight. The resort says it can’t find your reservation. The room you walked into isn’t the room you booked.

This is not the part where I send you an 800 number and wish you luck.

You text me. It can literally say, “Celeste, help.”

Because I handled the booking, I already have your dates, confirmation numbers, room category, and trip details. I figure out who needs to be called, explain what happened, and work toward the best available solution while you focus on the people you came with.

I can’t control the weather, the resort, or the cruise line. But you won’t be starting from scratch trying to solve a travel problem alone.

When I say, “I’ve got your vacation,” I don’t just mean I’ll plan it. I mean I’m still here while you travel, already familiar with every detail and ready to step in if the plan changes.

If you want me behind your next vacation, send me a message and tell me about the trip you’ve been thinking about.
