Day 6 and our last day in Bermuda and we went out with a bang!

We booked a reef fishing trip and it was an absolute blast. Rowen reeled in his first ever saltwater fish and the smile on his face said it all! And yours truly won the pool for the biggest fish caught on the boat. Not bad for a travel agent!

Bermuda you have been incredible. Easily one of my favorite places I have ever visited. The scenery is stunning, there is so much to do, and the people could not be more welcoming.

If Bermuda is on your bucket list, stop waiting and let’s make it happen! Between the caves, the pink sand beaches, the local food, and now reef fishing… this island has something for everyone.

Day 5 on the Breakaway and Day 2 in Bermuda did not disappoint!

We hopped on the ferry into Hamilton and caught the bus out to the Crystal Caves and wow… photos do not do this place justice. Walking through those stalactites with crystal clear water below was absolutely breathtaking. A must do if you ever visit Bermuda!

After the caves we stopped for lunch at the Swizzle Inn, a Bermuda institution! We tried the local favorite… wahoo fish on raisin bread. Rowen was NOT sold on the idea. Then he stole half of mine and spent the rest of the afternoon wondering how those flavors work so well together. 😂 If you ever find yourself in Bermuda, you have to find yourself a wahoo fish sandwich.

We then made our way to Horseshoe Bay to finish off the day. That pink sand and turquoise water is every bit as stunning as you have seen on the internet.

This island is something special… oh, and the King is here!

First stop in Bermuda… Sea Glass Beach!

We docked and decided to kick things off with a 20 minute walk to Sea Glass Beach and it was a cool experience. The beach itself is unique and definitely worth a visit, but we would say it is more of a “see it and take it in” kind of spot rather than a place to set up for the day and swim.

Bermuda is absolutely beautiful though and we are just getting started exploring! More to come from this stunning island.

Day 2 and 3 at sea and the Norwegian Breakaway did NOT disappoint!

This ship truly has something for everyone. Rowen and I kicked off the days with a giant chess match on deck, hit the shuffleboard, and even threw some darts. When Rowen headed off to the kids club, I grabbed a seat on deck with a book and nothing but open water in front of me.

We capped things off at Teppanyaki and wow… the food AND the show were both incredible.

Oh, and we caught a full rainbow over the open ocean.

Sea days on this ship are anything but boring and we still have so much more ahead. Thinking about your own getaway? Let’s make it happen!
