For my followers who live in or plan to visit NJ, here are some great road trip destinations in the Garden State:
Victorian Cape May: Located on the southernmost tip of NJ, Cape May possessing one of the country's largest collection of 18th and 19th century Victorian architecture.
Liberty State Park & Science Museum: Located in Jersey City, Liberty State Park overlooks the Upper New York Bay, Liberty Island, and Ellis Island (home to New York's Statue of Liberty). A highlight for kids visiting Liberty State Park is the Liberty Science Center. This fun, interactive science museum offers numerous fascinating hands-on exhibits and displays.
Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area: This recreation area borders NJ and Pennsylvania along the Delaware River. It covers more than 70,000 acres and includes the Minisink Archaeological Site, where remnants from a 10,000-year-old settlement were found.
Grounds for Sculpture: Art lovers won't want to miss this 42-acre museum and sculpture park located in Hamilton Township (central NJ). It boasts 270 large-scale works by Seward Johnson and other US artists.
