Our first night in Budapest did not disappoint!
After a quick train ride from Vienna, we checked into our gorgeous hotel (room tour coming soon 00) and headed straight to the Jewish Quarter to check out one of the popular ruin bars - abandoned buildings that have been transformed into unique nightlife with Bohemian decor.
Dinner at Mazel Tov was a total highlight - amazing vibes, dreamy plants everywhere, the best local gin, and don’t even get me started on the baklava cheesecake
Afterward, we wandered past colorful murals, cozy cafés, and the most stunning architecture before ending the night with a drink on our private rooftop terrace overlooking the Hungarian Opera House - swipe to the end of check out our view!

Home Sweet Home… for Now 😉✈️
Just wrapped up an incredible European adventure filled with castles, amazing food, and unforgettable memories. 💕

Being home (for the moment!) has me wondering — when you get back from a trip, do you unpack right away or live out of your suitcase for a few days?

Vienna, day 4 – our last full day before heading to Budapest! ✨

We started the morning with an amazing brunch at Ulrich (10/10 recommend if you’re ever in Vienna – everything was delicious). After fueling up, we made our way to Schönbrunn Palace, the former imperial summer residence of the Habsburgs. The palace itself was stunning, but the gardens and grounds were what really stole the show – endless paths, fountains, and views that felt straight out of a painting.

It was the perfect way to wrap up our time in Vienna before catching the train to our next stop. This city has been such a beautiful mix of history, art, and coffee (lots of coffee ☕️😂), and I know we barely scratched the surface of this beautiful city!

🇭🇺✨ Happy St. Stephen’s Day from Budapest!

Today, Hungary celebrates its biggest national holiday - honoring St. Stephen, the country’s first king and founder of the Hungarian state. The city comes alive with parades, folk music, traditional dances, street festivals, and amazing food (hello, chimney cakes! 🍰).

And the grand finale? One of Europe’s most spectacular fireworks shows lighting up the Danube River tonight 🎆.

It’s such a special time to be here - the whole city feels festive, proud, and full of life. If Budapest wasn’t already on your travel bucket list… it should be! 😉✈️

Vienna, day 3! ✨

We started our morning at the Museumsquartier and stepped inside the Kunsthistorisches Museum for breakfast at the gorgeous café — the perfect spot to sip a latte under stunning architecture while enjoying a classic Viennese breakfast. Afterward, we explored the museum’s incredible collection, featuring thousands of works of art from antiquity through the late Baroque period, all carefully collected by the Habsburg dynasty.

From there, we made our way to Stephansplatz to step inside the iconic St. Stephen’s Cathedral — the detail and history here are breathtaking.

To finish the afternoon, we strolled down Kärntnerstrasse, Vienna’s famous shopping street lined with beautiful historic buildings, bustling cafés, and restaurants. It was the perfect way to end another magical day in this city! Shout out to the amazing public transportation in Vienna - we are walking SO MUCH, but using the trains and trams has saved us so much time and so many steps, and for that, we are grateful!

Vienna, day 2 - and also my birthday! 🎂

We started the morning with a birthday brunch at Palmenhaus, a gorgeous glasshouse café that felt like dining in the middle of a botanical garden. From there, we strolled through the Burggarten before heading to the Vienna State Opera for a guided tour - such a treat to see the inside of one of the most famous opera houses in the world!

Later we stopped by St. Charles’s Church (Karlskirche), with its stunning baroque dome and unique architecture. We wrapped up the day with drinks and a delicious dinner to celebrate.

Safe to say, Vienna knows how to do birthdays right! 🥳

It’s hard to believe our time in Vienna is already over, and for the final stop on this trip… Budapest, Hungary!

I’ve been dreaming of exploring both sides of this magical city — Buda and Pest — from the stunning river views to the thermal baths and vibrant night scene. I already know this will be an unforgettable finale to my journey!

Thinking about adding Budapest to your travel plans? I’d love to help you make it happen!

Vienna, day 1: Thursday was our first full day in Vienna, and we explored so much of the city! We started with breakfast at Cafe Central, the famous intellectual meeting hub for famous minds like Freud, Altenberg, and Trostsky. The inside is beautiful and we ordered a traditional Viennese breakfast and espresso and chocolate cake - so good!
After breakfast, we walked through some of the famous landmarks in Vienna, including Michaelerplatz, Sisi Museum, and Hofburg Palace. Then we went inside the Austrian National Library which was a dream! It was giving major Beauty and the beast vibes with the Baroque-style and grant multi-leveled shelves upon shelves of books.
We then walked through Museumsquartier to see the beautiful buildings of the National History Museum and Kunsthistorisches museum - we will be back later to go inside a few!
In the afternoon, we did a food tour where we got to taste some typical Viennese food, including horse meat (!) and handmade candy and chocolates. And of course - wine! I tried poppyseed gelato and pumpkin oil gelato - yum yum!
Vienna is a much more modern city so far than Prague - unfortunately much of it had to be rebuilt after WWIl. But the history and culture is definitely still here, and we are enjoying getting to explore!
