🚂 Royal Railway – Utopia Station!
This past week on Utopia of the Seas, we finally got to experience the Royal Railway Utopia Station, and man, let me tell you, it was awesome!
The experience starts before you even get on the train. Between seeing your name up on the board, showing up early to the loading station and getting your welcome drink, they really do a great job making it feel like you are actually waiting to board a train.
Once onboard, the entire dining room is designed like an old school train car, and the “windows” actually make it look and feel like you are traveling through the Wild West. The experience combines the scenery, sounds, actors, storyline and food throughout the night. You are served a five course meal along the way, and everything we had was incredible.
We did have the Ultimate Dining Package, so it was only an additional $50 per person, which I didn’t think was bad at all for the experience. Royal Caribbean currently lists the Royal Railway surcharge at $49.99 per person when you have the Unlimited Dining Package.
If you are paying the regular price without the dining package, you’re looking at around $120 per person plus gratuities, which I do think is a little steep for what it is.
Would I recommend doing it? 100%! If you have the opportunity, I would definitely experience it at least once. Would I personally need to do it every time I am on Utopia? Probably not. I would absolutely do it again if I was traveling with somebody who had never experienced it before, though.
Overall, it was a great experience, the food was great, the show was entertaining, and I’m really glad we ended up doing it!
If you are sailing on Utopia of the Seas and have any questions about the Royal Railway or anything else onboard, please let me know!
