Open House And Tour At Historic Buckingham Church
BUCKINGHAM, PA —

On Sunday, May 7 from 1 to 4 p.m., the public has a rare chance to take a self-guided tour of the historic Mount Gilead Community Church on Buckingham Mountain and learn from the experts about the history of the Underground Railroad in Bucks County and Mount Gilead's role. Participants will also learn about the notable residents buried in the church's historic cemetery. On hand to answer questions will be Doreen Stratton of Doylestown Boroujgh, a local expert on the Underground Railroad; historical architect Jennifer Jarrett; Mount Gilead Cemetery expert Meagan Ratini; and educator and mount Gilead researcher Kathy Auerbach. The church is located at 1940 Holicong Road in Buckingham 18912.
