Heartland Travel Adventures, LLC

Heartland Travel Adventures, LLC At Heartland Travel Adventures, we specialize in creating unforgettable road trips across the country.

Whether you're looking for a scenic adventure, cultural exploration, or an exciting getaway with friends or family, we’ve got you covered. We at Heartland Travel Adventures, do not take a full bus of travelers on a 52 - 56 passenger bus....we did it once and it was just too crowded!!! We believe people need the ability to move around in order to visit with other people, stretch out and possibly get some needed solace and alone time while on a bus trip. Plus we love to take the time to get to know our travelers and connect with them! On a Heartland Travel Adventure you will have a good time, meet some good folks and take home some new good memories! Travel with us....you won't be disappointed (and if you are, it was someone else's fault and not ours 😉 😂 🤣)

Most of what passes for connection now happens through a screen. It's fast, and it's thin. You can scroll past a hundred places in an afternoon and never stand in one.

A trip is different. You ride the same bus, eat breakfast at the same table, and by the third morning you know everyone's name. You see something worth seeing and turn to the person beside you, and they saw it too. That shared moment is the part you keep.

We keep our groups small on purpose. That isn't a limitation. It's the whole point!!!

This summer, I went looking for the world.

Along with my good friend Timothy Vinduska, we set out to mark 250 years since the Declaration was signed — but the road took over, the way it always does. Grand Canyon. Kings Canyon. The redwoods along Highway 1. North through Oregon, into the Olympics, up to the North Cascades and Mount Rainier. Somewhere in there, the anniversary stopped being the point. Standing in it, canyon walls, trees older than the country we were celebrating, this was the point.

The poet Mary Oliver asked what we plan to do with our "one wild and precious life". I don't have a tidy answer. But I know this: it doesn't happen from a couch, and it doesn't happen on a screen. It happens somewhere you have to drive to.

That trip did double duty, some of it was scouting for you. And this year, we're taking Heartland Travel back to two of those places: Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Trees and places that make a person feel, for one clean moment, wonderfully small.

Life is short. Go stand next to something bigger than you.

Our 2027 season is here.

Nine trips, from the sandhill crane migration on the Platte River in March to Christmas lights in Branson in November. Savannah and Charleston in full spring bloom. Theodore Roosevelt's badlands and his brand-new presidential library. Thirteen days among the giant sequoias of the Sierra Nevada. The Colorado high country in July, Lake Superior when the north woods turn, and Gettysburg with the Blue Ridge in full autumn color.

We handle everything — the driving, the hotels, the tickets, the planning. You just bring a bag and enjoy the ride. Seats are limited and our small groups fill up, so the earlier you reserve, the better.

See all nine trips and reserve your seat at www.heartlandtraveladventures.com
