Fun facts about Animal Kingdom in honor of its birthday today! 🦒🐘

🌎n this day in 1998, Walt Disney World Resort opened up its 4th park, Animal Kingdom. It was opened intentionally on Earth Day! The park was created with a focus on conservation, education and animal care. It is home of the largest group of Nile Hippos and African Elephants in North America and the first birth at Animal Kingdom was a large African antelope named Kudu.
When visiting you must ride my favorite ride, Avatar Flight of Passage and then kick back, relax and see some amazing animals on the Kilimanjaro Safari ride.

We just made it back from our 2026 Disney World vacation. We planned a lot for just a few days, but we were able to make it to one of our favorite spots in Epcot and enjoy a drink together! April was a beautiful time to go during the International Flower and Garden festival. More photos to come!
