Meet Swedish au pair Michaela- she’s spent a total of 4 years with her host family in Colorado!

Here is Michaela’s story, told by her host mom. “Michaela is on her 4th year with us. We have 4 kids and our house is crazy and a lot of work! Michaela was brave and agreed to come in 2007. We fell in love with her instantly and she was immediately adopted into our family. We convinced her to extend and stay a 2nd year. Michaela went back to Sweden for 2 years to study. We missed her terribly and stayed in touch with her. She came to visit during those 2 years --she couldn’t miss the kids’ birthdays and Christmas! Michaela finished nursing school and agreed to come back to us again before she starts her nursing career. Yahoo! We were thrilled! Now she is on her fourth year with us! Michaela is like a sister to me, she is also my best friend and my guardian angel! I don’t think I can live without her. She has shaped us into a better and happier family and we all love her very much!”
