Safe Landing Group Center, LLC Safe Landing Group Center, LLC is a 24/7 State licensed eight bed facility that cares for at-risk youth.

Safe Landing’s motto, “Loving Arms Negating Dysfunctional Ideology through Non-violence and Guidance” is a strong tenet we use when raising and overseeing youth. It is our belief that through the use of positive reinforcement, refocusing, correcting thinking errors, and encouraging the resident to assume responsibility for choices and behavior, Safe Landing residents will grow into more positive d

irections, which will enable the setting of more positive directional life goals. It is extremely important that residents learn to “own it” so that they may experience the empowerment of taking responsibility for their choices instead of taking the victim stance. Safe Landing does not tolerate the use of physical force between residents, between residents and staff or between staff. Our environment is one that will reinforce that effective verbal communication will convey more than hitting someone or something. Furthermore, our goal includes the setting of firm boundaries, rules and expectations of each individual that will be conducive to producing effectual outcomes of each of the residents in the time they spend at Safe Landing.

For the hundreds of young men we cared for through the 12 years Safe Landing was in operation...we wish you all the success life holds for you to grab onto! Our family GENUINELY loved and cared for each of you-no matter how naughty you were-and always held onto hope that everyone would work through the troubles you found yourself mired in, find value in yourself and through internal growth, and set positive life goals that are obtainable. The staff at SLGC will never forget the times we all shared, and all the difficult times you had to walk through while growing up.

Unfortunately, the State made operating SLGC extremely difficult in the last couple of years, [no to mention some IDIOT neighbors with a NIMBY mentality] with their biased approaches, subjective opinions that were SO FAR from the professional platform/truth, and their willingness to place blame on staff for things they unfairly believed were true. We had enough of their crap and decided it was time to move forward and do something different. The State SYSTEM IS BROKEN and SO ARE THE TOP ECHELON WORKERS at DHS. So very unprofessional. So it wasn't all the kiddos we cared for that were the issue...it was the caseworkers, GAL's, and the State that made it all worth walking away from. Shame on the top of the DHS pyramid for how they conducted themselves in the last couple of years. Staff at SLGC went through some horrific treatment and just decided that life is too short to put up with such nonsense. Sooo, we opened a new chapter and are moving forward, literally, onto GREENER settings! Wish us luck!!
