Spring in motion 🌊🌲

During peak spring runoff, the Upper Tahquamenon Falls can pour up to 50,000 gallons of water per second.

Tahquamenon Falls earns its nickname “The Root Beer Falls” from its deep amber waters, colored by tannins from cedar, hemlock, and spruce swamps. 🤎

It’s Morel Season!!🤤🍄‍🟫

Michigan is home to true morels and is actually one of the best places in North America for them. 🍃

Even true morels aren’t “grab and eat” mushrooms:
•Always cook them (raw morels can make you sick)
•Start with a small amount the first time (some people are sensitive)
•Never eat mushrooms unless you’re 100% sure of the ID
