Traveling to Cancun or the Riviera Maya with kids soon? Here’s an important update to put on your radar! ✈️🇲🇽

Mexico has approved a new federal law designed to protect minors. Once it rolls out, hotels, all-inclusive resorts, and vacation rentals will require proof of parental relationship or legal guardianship before checking in minors under 18.

Good news: This law has NOT taken effect yet.

The government is still finalizing the exact launch date and guidelines, so current travel rules remain in place for now.

However, when it officially starts, you'll likely want to have these packed:
• Passports for everyone
• The child’s original or certified birth certificate
• A notarized consent letter if a child is traveling with only one parent, grandparents, or other family members

We’re keeping a close eye on the rollout so our clients and followers don't face surprises at the check-in desk.
