The coziest place where everyone loves to escape is our library den. Follow the redwood beams up our staircase, you’ll see the architectural beauty of the wooden ceiling and redwood beams up close and personal. Working with a view, reading in the day bed, and listening to the record player in the swinging chair are just a couple of ways to experience this magical place ✨🛖📚

After being closed for much of the summer season, we are finally able to welcome guests back to our cabin as of July 31! While there is still much road damage to Highway 190 and the surrounding forest that will continue to be repaired, we are glad that guests can once again visit this magical place. The road is open only to locals and guests, so you can expect our mountain to be quiet and serene compared to many other travel destinations! Check out the link in our bio to book now!

Founded in the late 1800s, Camp Nelson & Pierpoint are 2 small mountain communities located in the Sequoia National Forest about 45 mins east of Porterville. California natives traveled here to escape the heat, and at just under 5,000 feet elevation it can be more than 20 degrees cooler than at the base of the mountains. Peaks of Slate Mountain, shown in this picture, were snow capped in 2023 up until June! Book direct in the link for our lowest prices.
