Some of the best days in Sardinia happen far from the coast.

Our shepherd day takes us into the mountains and into a part of the island most travelers completely miss. The traditions are still deeply tied to the land, the food, and the people who have called this place home for generations.

It’s slower. More personal. Less polished in the best way.

And it’s exactly the kind of day that reminds you why we love building journeys beyond the obvious.

A few other things worth remembering:

* Pack a lightweight sweater or jacket
* Skip the heels
* Bring the correct plug adapter and a voltage converter if your hair tools require one (You will blow up your curling iron 😑)
* Check that your credit card has no foreign transaction fees
* Bring your debit card for ATM withdrawals

And maybe most importantly: leave a little room in your suitcase. You’ll probably want to bring something home. 😉

Small-group travel with people from your own hometown? Pretty great way to find your people. ❤️

Before each travel season, we host a meet + greet so by the time we leave, there are already familiar faces in the group. The feeling upon arrival is already warm and welcoming.

Then somewhere between the meals, adventures and laughs, strangers become friends and often stay that way long after we’re back in Pittsburgh.

Puglia deserves its moment. 🇮🇹

And for Jason, The Puglia Project is especially personal. His grandparents and great-grandparents were born in Bovino before emigrating to America, and his family’s roots here are woven throughout this entire journey.

Guests will experience Puglia through Jason’s connection to the region, meeting family, discovering the food and traditions he loves, and seeing the places that shaped his own story.
