CALL FOR RACE DAY VOLUNTEERS! Our next race event is the Rope Mill Duathlon and 3.3 Mile Trail Run on November 7th! We are looking for race day volunteers to assist with parking, registration, TA setup, aid stations, course marshaling and sweeping. Time frame is rougly 6:30 am to 12:30 pm with some positions starting later or ending earlier, depending on task. If you would like to help out, please email [email protected] with your preferred shirt size and if you have any dietary restrictions. All volunteers receive an event shirt and lunch. Come help make the magic happen - this is a fun event to be a part of as the racing is fast and there are typically a lot of lead changes in the team events.

Next up is the Rope Mill Dirty Duathlon and 3.3 Mile Trail Run on November 7th. This event features a 5.5 mile MTB on the Mill Trails, 3.3 mile run on Explorer, and 5.5 mile MTB on Avalanche. You can race as a team or solo. We also have a separate trail run for those who just want to run and don't have a duathlon partner. This is our most exciting fast paced event of the year, where you can expect close races in the team divisions with lots of lead changes.

As of right now, Thursday morning at 10 am, we are still good to go with the normal Fool's Gold Mountain Bike Race Course. Unless we are instructed to run the rain route by the USFS, which they can ask us to do up through Friday afternoon, I plan to stick with the normal course.

If we are required to use the rain route by USFS, we will communicate that change via email to all racers once we have been told. YOU MUST RIDE A MOUNTAIN BIKE if we have to use the rain route - NO GRAVEL BIKES. I will not be responding to individual texts, messages, and emails regarding the rain route so please just wait and check your email Friday night for updates. IF YOU DON'T SEE ANY UPDATES THAT MEANS WE ARE USING THE REGULAR COURSE.

Just a heads up, I’m keeping Fool’s Gold registration open an extra day, so now it will be open until 11:59 pm on Wednesday Sept 9th.
