Don’t forget the Bake sale for Evergreen Cemetery tomorrow at 9 am. Homemade Sourdough bread $8 a loaf or 2/$10. Chocolate chip muffins 4/$8. Frozen par-baked dinner rolls 9/$9 (Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes). These will be at the corner at Gee’s Store across from Town Hall, along with cakes, sausage balls and other goodies, just in time for Mother’s Day weekend!

🇺🇸 ☘️🎻🐄🐑🌞🌳 Get ready for THIS SATURDAY!! Cotesworth Celtic Gathering 2026 kicks off at 9:00 a.m. March 28 at Cotesworth Culture & Heritage Center, Carroll County, Mississippi. So much to see and experience, including music from bagpiper Forrest Clark, Dusty Rainey and his violin/fiddle, Amanda Mayo-Saalwaechter and her “Delta Fiddlers Collective” students, and featuring Celtic ensemble Mind the Dresser! We kick off with prayer and singing of the Star-Spangled Banner at 9:15. Tickets are $5 at the gate (1st grade and up). Pony rides, petting zoo, Highland Games by Backyard Rebellion Highland Games, vendors for food and shopping, sheep-herding demonstrations, and historic house tours! Join us for family fun and to support Cotesworth!

Due to weather related issues for Carrollton’s Taste of Soup friends, we are postponing our annual A Taste of Soup and Art Exhibit until Saturday, March 21! We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, March 21 at 11 am. There is still time to get your tickets from the Carrollton Town Hall.

Be part of A Christmas Carroll today! Noted Nashville floral designer Richard Edwards will be at Cotesworth this morning at 10 for a wreath making workshop. You can bring your own accessories or use what we have picked out. Cost is $40.

At 3 pm, join Punkie Stewart for a Christmas tea at Cotesworth. Bring your tea cup and saucer because after you enjoy refreshments by AAA Event and music by Sue Duke, Richard will again guide participants-this time to make mini floral arrangements in the tea cup you brought. Cost is $30 per person.

🇺🇸 🥁 In Carroll County’s historic Vaiden Cemetery, you’ll find the final resting place of one the earliest patriots. An American Revolutionary War drummer boy, John Cain was born on this day, December 12, 1766, possibly in North Carolina, and likely was one of the early settlers here after the 1830 Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek. Cain died in Carroll County on April 17, 1854.
