Some days my desk is covered in resort comparisons, cruise itineraries and Disney planning notes.

Other days, it looks like this. 🎨🌎📚

Homeschool work spread across the table. Maps and globes nearby. Art projects happening. History being discussed. And somewhere in the middle of it all, I'm probably answering a client message about their next vacation. 😂

One of my favorite things about travel is that the learning doesn't have to stop when the school books come out—or when vacation ends.

Travel gives kids a reason to ask questions, notice the world around them, and connect what they're learning to actual places.

And honestly? That's a pretty good office to have. 💜

Homeschool mom + travel advisor = a slightly chaotic, very well-traveled workday.

We kicked off our school year the way I think school was meant to be started…with a field trip! 🎒✨

A weekend in Chicago gave us a little bit of everything—dinosaurs and history at the Field Museum, a little Harry Potter magic, underwater adventures at Shedd Aquarium, and dinner + a medieval show at Medieval Times. 🦖🧙‍♀️🐠⚔️

Because some of our best homeschool days don’t happen around a table. They happen when we’re standing in front of something we’ve only read about, exploring a new city, asking questions, and making memories together.

And honestly? This is a pretty big part of why I love what I do as a travel advisor. ❤️

Travel isn’t just about checking places off a bucket list. It can be the field trip. The history lesson. The cultural experience. The family memory your kids will still be talking about years from now.

I had a real fan girl moment today when I got to meet THE Jodi Benson, Disney Legend and voice of Ariel, and watch a Q&A with her and the actor who played Prince Eric. 🥹

As someone who has spent a lot of time at Disney and loves helping families experience it for themselves, moments like this are such a fun reminder of why I love what I do.

Because Disney isn't just about rides and reservations. It's about the characters, the stories, the nostalgia, and those little moments that make you feel like a kid again. ❤️

And yes… getting to meet Ariel herself definitely made this travel advisor's day. 🧜‍♀️

🦒 If you’re visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom, one of my favorite tips is to ride Kilimanjaro Safaris first thing in the morning!

There’s a reason I almost always recommend making this one of your first stops. The animals tend to be more active in the cooler morning hours, which can mean better chances of seeing them out and about instead of lounging in the shade. 😴😂

You might spot giraffes wandering across the savanna, elephants playing, lions relaxing, and so much more. And honestly, there’s something pretty magical about seeing these animals start their day while you’re starting yours at Disney. 🦁🐘🦒

Plus, knocking out a popular attraction early can help you save time later in the day when the park gets busier.

My ideal Animal Kingdom morning:
☕️ Grab breakfast
🦒 Head to Kilimanjaro Safaris
🌿 Explore the rest of the park from there

And this is exactly why having a plan matters at Disney. It’s not just about knowing *what* to do—it’s knowing when to do it.
