With Toy Story 5 on the horizon, I couldn't resist sharing this favorite memory from a Toy Story-themed birthday party years ago!

From Woody and Jessie to our little cowboys, we went all-in on the Wild West fun. Looking back, it's amazing how quickly the years fly by—but the memories made together as a family are the treasures that stick with us.

Guys, I may have found the ultimate family vacation packing hack. 👀

Before every cruise or hotel stay, I pack my kids' clothes by outfit in labeled zipper bags—socks, underwear, and all.

With four theme parks, incredible resorts, and so much more than just rides, Universal Orlando has become a destination all its own.

Could you see the highlights in a day or two? Sure. But if you want to experience the wizarding world, explore Epic Universe, enjoy your resort, and not feel like you're sprinting from one thing to the next, you'll want a little more time.

That's why having a plan matters. The right tickets, the right hotel, and the right park strategy can make the difference between feeling rushed and actually enjoying your vacation.

Universal isn't a "squeeze it in" destination anymore—and honestly, that's one of the things I love most about it. 🎢✨

Travel Tip Tuesday 💧✈️☀️

Vacation is more fun when you actually feel good enough to enjoy it.

Between flights, long park days, sunshine, and salty beach air, it’s easy to get dehydrated faster than you realize.

✈️ After air travel: Airplane cabins are incredibly dry, so start rehydrating as soon as you land. Pack a reusable water bottle and refill it after security before your flight.

🏖️ At the beach: Sun, heat, and ocean time can sneakily drain you. Alternate every fun frozen drink or soda with water, and don’t wait until you feel thirsty.

🏰 At Disney: All those steps + Florida heat = hydration is non-negotiable. Grab free cups of ice water at quick service locations, carry electrolyte packets, and make water breaks part of your park strategy.

A simple hydration plan can mean the difference between magical memories and a vacation headache (literally).

Do you need a travel advisor for Disney? Honest answer- no, it isn't mandatory.

People plan Disney trips on their own every day and have great vacations. You absolutely can do it yourself.

But I don’t think “need” is really the right question.

What my clients are really handing off is all the little details that can quickly make Disney feel overwhelming.

✨ Waking up early to grab those hard-to-get dining reservations the second your booking window opens

✨ Figuring out Lightning Lane strategies based on your family—not some generic internet checklist. (Because what works for a thrill-loving tween is very different from what works for a cautious little one.)

✨ Choosing the right resort for how your family actually vacations—not just the one with the prettiest pictures online

At the end of the day, it’s less about whether you can plan Disney yourself and more about whether you want to spend hours researching, booking, and strategizing… or just show up excited and ready to enjoy the magic with your family.

And honestly? Most families who use a travel advisor once usually don’t go back to doing it alone. Not because they couldn’t—but because having someone else handle the details just makes vacation feel more like an actual vacation.
