The student internship presentations from today consisted of:
3 marketing interns
4 wedding planning interns
3 CCSD CTE event interns
1 Ga***rd Rockies Resort & Convention Center intern
1 Cherry Creek Schools teacher intern
1 Mak Fam Denver Restaurant intern
1 Los Dos Potrillos Mexican Restaurant intern
1 small business intern

This is such an amazing way to end the school year seeing all the students experiences, their professional portfolios, what they learned, and their future plans! 🎉

What a COOL opportunity Kenyon Alexander, a 12th grade student in the CCIC Hospitality & Tourism Hospitality Leadership Experience internship program had with at the game a few weekends ago!

In his internship program, Kenyon is focusing on sports marketing and content creation, with a hospitality lens of engagement, branding, and sports entertainment.

He met Mr. Lee through his teacher Mrs. Dunleavy and was fortunate enough to attend a CSU basketball game, discuss college, marketing, and his future career goals.

Thank you to Mrs. Dunleavy‘s sister Ali Cooper for allowing a few of the students in the Hospitality Leadership Experience class to work with her on her wedding planning happening at the end of the summer! 💍👰🏼‍♀️
The students are helping design invitations, plan table settings, configure the proper floor plan for her guests at their venue, and may possibly even help set up for her actual wedding day in Vail!
These students have a variety of experiences they are counting towards their internship this semester, and this is an example of an on-site internship!
What an incredible opportunity for these students to work alongside a real client and learn all that goes into planning such an important day! 💍👰🏼‍♀️💒

The CCIC offers CTE courses in multiple pathways:
Aerospace Manufacturing, Health and Wellness, Infrastructure Engineering, Hospitality & Tourism, Transportation (automotive & aviation), Business Services and IT/ STEAM.

The CCIC application closes Friday February 28th and students will be notified of placement by the beginning of April.
