Amsterdam surprised us in the best way 🇳🇱
We didn’t know what to expect visiting for the first time with a toddler, but it ended up being incredibly family friendly. Beautiful parks, easy public transportation, and so much to explore.
It is also a maze of bikes, trams, boats, and people, which took a little getting used to 😅
We went to the zoo and soaked in the culture, but we also did a lot more playgrounds than museums. Travel with toddlers is definitely a different vibe, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
By the end of the trip, we became pros at public transportation. Kiah loved the “little trains” aka trams, plus the boats and trains.
My favorite part was hearing her tell us every night how much fun she had that day and why. Seeing a new place through her eyes is something else.
This trip was also a mix of work and play. Next time, we will stay longer and build in more free time so we can slow down and really settle into the rhythm of the city.
Because travel with kids may look different, but it’s also richer, more intentional, and full of moments you never expect. ✨
