Egypt isn't one destination. It's several — layered across 5,000 years, two continents, and more history than any single trip can hold.
Most travelers plan around three stops. What they don't know: the oldest board game on Earth was invented here. Cairo is a UNESCO World Heritage city. Ancient Egyptians pioneered surgery and dentistry. And Sudan — not Egypt — has the most pyramids in the world.
At Famtastic Tours, we build Egypt itineraries that go deeper: the Nubian villages of Aswan, the painted corridors of the Valley of the Kings, the bazaars of Khan el-Khalili, the temples of Luxor — with a trusted local team from start to finish.
DM us "EGYPT" and we'll send you the full itinerary.

Cleopatra never saw the Pyramids when they were new.
She lived 2,000 years after they were built — which means these stones have been standing for a span of time our brains aren't equipped to process. Until you're there at 7am, in the silence before the tour buses, watching limestone turn gold.
That's the trip. The one that stays with you.
Famtastic Tours places travelers inside experiences like this — curated Egypt programs with expert local guides, seamless logistics, and access that takes planning to earn.

Your clients will remember the Pyramids. They'll talk about the Nubian Village.
Tucked along the Nile in Aswan, this colorful riverside community is one of Egypt's most rewarding excursions — and one of the easiest to add to any itinerary. Felucca transfer, guided camel arrival, henna, tea, local markets, and genuine cultural connection. Coordinated start to finish by Famtastic Tours.

Egypt feels different when you see it from the Nile.
Everything slows down in the best way. The temples feel more meaningful, the river becomes part of the experience, and even the most iconic sites feel more personal.
This is one of the most beautiful ways to experience Egypt: with more intention, more comfort, and more time to truly take it all in.
If you’re thinking about Egypt for yourself or your clients, a Nile journey like this is a beautiful place to start.

The longest total solar eclipse of the century is coming: 6 minutes and 21 seconds of totality, directly over the temples of Luxor.
A totality this long won't happen again until 2114.
We've built the trip that gets you there: 10 days through Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor on a 5-star Nile cruise, private Egyptologist guides, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Abu Simbel, the Valley of the Kings, and an organized viewing site with front-row access to the eclipse itself.
Domestic flights, transfers, hotels — all handled.
Spaces are limited and the clock is moving.

Egypt was country 40 for me — and I almost didn't go.
Friends who'd lived in the region told me to skip it. I finally said yes because a friend was based there, and a week later I was ranking it in my top five.
The trip that did it:
Two nights in Cairo (that's enough), then the train south to Luxor and Aswan for Karnak, Abu Simbel, and the Nile. I closed it out on the Red Sea at El Gouna — water so clear I snorkeled above the reef without diving.
Don't make the mistake I almost made. Famtastic builds this exact route — guides, the overnight train, Red Sea hotels, the tombs most people miss.

Most Egypt itineraries end at the temples. This one goes further.
The Nubian Village in Aswan sits on the west bank of the Nile — reachable only by felucca. Inside, you'll find brightly painted streets, Nubian families who invite you in for tea, traditional crafts, and evening gatherings around music and fire.
The Nubian people have lived in the Nile Valley for over 20,000 years. Their culture — language, architecture, hospitality — is unlike anything else in Egypt. This is not a museum. It's a living community that welcomes travelers who come with genuine curiosity.
Famtastic Tours builds Egypt itineraries that include experiences like this — curated, guided, and fully managed from the ground up.

There's a version of Egypt that moves slowly — wide open skies, warm stone, the Nile carrying you from one wonder to the next.
A 4-night Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan (with Abu Simbel) is the best way to experience Upper Egypt without rushing. You cover Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo, the Aswan High Dam, and Abu Simbel — with a licensed Egyptologist guiding every step.
Practical notes: travel between October and April for the best conditions. The Abu Simbel visit leaves early morning — bring water and a camera, the sunrise light on those colossal statues of Ramses II is unlike anything else in Egypt. Pack lightweight clothing, modest layers for temples, and comfortable walking shoes.
What separates a great cruise from an ordinary one: the guide, the pace, and the ship. Famtastic Tours coordinates all three so your clients arrive knowing what to expect — and leave remembering why they came.
Save this post for your Egypt trip planning.

Five things about Egypt that even Egypt lovers tend to miss.
There's a desert in Egypt full of fossilized whales. Wadi al-Hitan ("Whale Valley") is a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Western Desert where the fossilized skeletons of early whales sit in sand that used to be ocean floor 40 million years ago.
Moses is believed to have received the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai — making one mountain in Egypt sacred to Christians, Muslims, and Jews alike.
Ancient Egyptian doctors were performing surgery 4,000 years ago — with scalpels, forceps, dentistry, and even prosthetic toes that look uncannily modern.
The ancient Egyptians worshipped over 2,000 gods, and cats were considered so sacred that they were sometimes mummified to accompany their owners into the afterlife.
They invented board games 5,500 years ago. Senet (c. 3500 BC) was buried in tombs so the dead could keep playing in the afterlife.
